🚨SOS🚨 Sicky Pup Alert 🚑
I had to be brought back to the shelter and then I started coughing a bunch and throwing up. I definitely was feeling icky 🤢🤮.
They thought it could be my ❤️🩹 heartworms 🦠 giving me issues, so they did a chest xray 🩻 and it's not advanced, so it wasn't that. We aren't sure if I picked up a bug 😷 from my outings or the shelter, but I'm being treated now just in case it's a bug.
Momma Lynda Leffler Gridley offered to foster me so I could rest up throughout the week in a home thankfully. Thank you so much 😭🥲. These soft fluffy beds are so much more comfy 🤤 when I'm not feeling good than the cement floors at the shelter 🥹.
In case you didn't know, 💡a large majority of dogs enter the shelter with heartworms🦠. This is easily preventable with monthly prevention, but I never got any before coming to the shelter 😭. We get monthly prevention now 💊, but because controlling a calm environment is necessary for full treatment and recovery we don't get fully treated unless we are in a foster home 🏡. I'd really love to get treated, but need a dedicated foster to do so since the treatment will be stressful on my body and the shelter is too stressful of an environment. Thanks to Friends of Jacksonville Animals, Inc. ❤️ They will be covering the expenses for my heartworm treatment 🧑⚕️. They have fun fundraiser events all the time to help me and my buddies that live at ACPS. Please check them out 🙏!
I hope I find my family soon, so I can start treatment 🐾🌟❤️. Please give your furry babies monthly heartworm and flea and tick prevention💊.
