We have a little reading on the agenda! 📚🐾

Join Deb and Winston for their first Ruff Readers at Teton County Library's Youth Auditorium from 3:30-4:30PM!

Kids ages 5-12 can pick out a book, get comfy, and settle in with a furry friend. Whether it's a familiar favorite or a brand new adventure, our therapy teams are always happy to listen. No pressure, just a little reading practice with plenty of four-legged encouragement. Winston has been barking about this all week!

A quick note: Teton County Library will be closed next Wednesday (November 11th), in observance of Veterans Day, so Ruff Readers will be taking a break as well.

Partner Spotlight: Children's Learning Center

At Children's Learning Center, a visit from a therapy team means making new friends, asking plenty of questions, talking about pets at home, and collecting Pet Partners bookmarks like Pokémon cards. There's always something to talk about when a dog comes to class!

Visits can mean even more than a fun break in the day. For some students, the change has been remarkable: they started out too nervous to leave the classroom to meet a dog, and now they don’t want to leave their new friend’s side. Seeing that confidence grow over time is a special thing. The kids also love guessing which dog will show up next, whether it’s a familiar face or someone new.

Children's Learning Center supports children and families through inclusive early education, helping every child learn and grow in a welcoming environment. We're grateful our therapy teams get to be a small part of that experience, one classroom at a time.

Got a good book picked out for Wednesday? Come read us a story!

David JR Dalby and Clinton will be at Teton County Library’s Youth Auditorium this Wednesday from 3:30–4:30PM for Ruff Readers!

The best part of Clinton's job? Story time. Kids ages 5–12 can bring a favorite book or discover a new story there, then settle in with a team ready to listen. It's a chance to build confidence and practice reading aloud.

Paws up for our new and renewing teams!

Join us in welcoming Zanny&Maple May and Deb&Winston to Teton County Pet Partners! We're excited to have you on board and can't wait to see the joy you bring to our community!

Thank you to our renewing teams: Catherine & Ralphie, Goldie & Boudi, Abigail & Lupe, and Theresa (TCPP handler since 2016) & Gypsy are continuing their work as registered therapy animal teams, and we're glad to have them with us!

Every team brings something special to the people and places they visit, whether that's encouragement, a calming presence, or a friendly face (and wagging tail) on a tough day.

This Wednesday, we're wagging tails and reading with our friends!

Join Goldie Winn and Boudi at Teton County Library for Ruff Readers, where kids ages 5-12 can practice reading to a therapy team who's happy to listen.

Reading out loud can feel a little intimidating, but a four-legged friend makes a pretty great audience. No pressure, just a little practice and a lot of furry encouragement.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to our Meet the Teams PAW-ty! 🐾❤️

We had a great time catching up with familiar faces, making new friends, and meeting people interested in becoming part of our therapy team family. A special thank you to all of our therapy teams, board members, and evaluators who joined in the fun and helped make the night such a success!

We're grateful for everyone who makes this work possible and can't wait to see what's ahead for our community!

A furry friend and a good book sounds like our idea of a perfect Wednesday!

🐾 The PAW-ty is almost here!
Just a reminder that our Meet the Teams! PAW-ty is happening this Thursday (October 15th)!

Curious about what it's like to be a therapy animal team? Thinking about becoming one? Or just want to meet some of the amazing people and animals who make up Teton County Pet Partners?

Come hang out with us! Meet board members, evaluators, current and prospective teams, ask questions, make connections, grab some snacks, and don't forget to grab some shwag along the way!

Want to bring your dog? Well-behaved dogs who are comfortable around a large group of other dogs are welcome, as long as they’re on leash. One heads-up for our furry guests: the building has sealed concrete floors, which can be a little scary for some dogs.

Whether you’re curious about therapy animal work, thinking about getting started, or just want to come meet the teams, we’d love to see you!

Come meet the teams, make some friends, and get your PAW-ty on.

Come join Kay and Lucky (Kay Stratman Studio) in Teton County Library's Youth Auditorium from 3:30-4:30PM for Ruff Readers!

Kids ages 5-12 can bring a favorite book or pick one out there, then settle in and read with a furry friend who's patient and happy to listen. It's a relaxed, supportive space to practice reading and build confidence, and if you get stuck on a tricky word, Lucky's always ready to lend a paw!

Ready to make a difference with your pet? Want to see what being a Pet Partners team is all about? Join us tomorrow (October 6th) at St. John's Jackson Hole to observe a Pet Partners Team Evaluation.

Start the process today to be ready for the next one (October 19th):
Step 1: Create a Pet Partners account at www.petpartners.org and begin your team registration.
Step 2: Complete the Therapy Animal Handler Course in-person (offered online). Completion and passing of the course is required before attending a Team Evaluation.
Step 3: Join a team evaluation! Our next Team Evaluation is October 19th, where you and your pet will demonstrate that you're a good fit for therapy animal work. Each team is scheduled for a 20-30min slot.

Our therapy animal teams provide comfort, connection, and smiles in hospitals, schools, libraries, assisted living communities, and other organizations throughout Teton County.
