Slayed another dragon yesterday- our very first ever Utility A leg!

It wasn’t very glamorous but we got the job done. Pidgeon has struggled with the articles exercise for a while and I’ve been puzzling on how to get to that final picture. Yesterday we made it happen!

I will finish posting the win pictures on my lunch break today.

Pidgeon: 100/100, first place Rally Novice B

So grateful for all the volunteers who made this trial possible and stayed long into the evening to finish out the classes ❤️

Another great Rally Novice Trial in the late late afternoon. Suna wanted to clock out at about 2pm but still managed a very nice second place run. Pidge could do a few more runs tonight if it was allowed!

Both girls did very well and I had fun trying Rally for the first time. Congratulations to all the exhibitors for stepping on to the trial floor and getting it donee. See y’all tomorrow!!

Pidgey beat Suna out by a mere 2 seconds. The judge said it was so fast she could hardly score it! Maybe Suna will pick up the pace in Trial 2

After three grueling days… I’m very proud to announce Pidgeon and I earned our French Ring 1 title!

So grateful to Southern Indiana Ringsport for hosting the seminar and trial. Joe graciously opened his field and home to all of us seminar and trial folk! Huge kudos to Francois and Caleb for their decoy work despite the blistering heat. Thank you to judge Richie for your sharp pencil! I learn something new with every trial- this time I got to deputy judge!

Of course, biggest thank you to Haute Volee Tervuren for my fabulous dog!!!! Once upon a time I didn’t want to do bitework at all… but Pidgeon said we could really do it all and so we did 😁 We wouldn’t be anywhere without the help of B2 Dog Training setting our foundations. Big shoutout to Crossroads Mondio for getting us ready for this trial with some late summer training- we may try Mondio yet 👀 Looking forward to closing the year with some more AKC utility obedience and maybe sneaking in Pidgeon’s FCAT or dock diving title under the wire, too.

Congratulations to all the other qualifiers! See yall on the field again next year for the Ring 2 🤩
