The Jackson Zoo will be closing grounds early at 12:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve, with final entry at 11 a.m.

We will also be closed to the public on Christmas Day and reopen on Saturday, Dec. 27th under normal hours.

🎉 Happy Birthday, Sari! 🎉

Today we celebrate Sari turning 19 years old, making her one of the oldest living Sumatran tigers in the country. It is truly a privilege to have her here at the Jackson Zoo.

Sari is also the proud mother of EKO, our male Sumatran tiger, and even in her senior years, she continues to show her strong personality and spirit.

Thanksgiving Holiday Update from the Jackson Zoo

As we take time to celebrate the season of gratitude, please note the Jackson Zoo will close early on Wednesday, November 26, and will remain closed on Thursday, November 27, and Friday, November 28 in observance of the holiday.

We will resume our normal operating hours on Saturday, November 29, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Last ticket will be sold at 2:45 p.m.

We are truly thankful for our visitors, members, volunteers, and staff your support helps make every day at the Jackson Zoo something to be grateful for.

Registration Dates:
November 21st- 24th
9 AM - 4 PM
Zoo Community Center, 2918 W. Capitol Street, Jackson,
MS 39209

REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be a resident of Hinds, Madison, or Rankin County
• Child must be 12 years old or under
• Child’s Birth Certificate
• Parent/Guardian State-Issued ID or Driver License
• Proof of Residence (utility bill or school verification card)
• Only the parent/guardian can register and pick up toys
Important:
• No toys will be given out during registration days.
• Families will be notified if they meet eligibility requirements.
• Participants cannot be registered with any other toy giveaway program.
• Families may not register with other toy giveaway organizations. Cross-checks will be completed.

The Jackson Zoo invites families from Hinds, Rankin, and Madison counties to register their children (ages 12 & under) for our annual Christmas Toy Give-A-Way!

📅 Registration Dates:
November 14th – 17th
⏰ 9 AM – 4 PM
📍 Zoo Community Center, 2918 W. Capitol Street, Jackson, MS 39209

REQUIREMENTS:
