Lazy Saturday with our Asiatic Blackbear!
Meeko has a pool in his enclosure (and typically access to his inside bedroom) but he seems to prefer this log instead. Most days you can find him draped over it napping.

Due to the excessive heat and high temperatures expected, the Jackson Zoo will be closing early at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22nd and Wednesday, July 23rd for the safety of our guests, staff, and animals.

Last admission tickets will be sold at 12:00 p.m. for both days.

We appreciate your understanding and encourage everyone to stay cool and hydrated.
