These are the faces of an overcrowded shelter. We have a dog in every available kennel, without room to take ANYTHING else right now. That isn't sustainable. Animal Control HAS to be able to function. Dogs cannot be left on the street, but that is what is currently happening, because to pick one up, another has to go. If they don't leave through adoption or rescue transfer, then euthanasia is our only option. We HAVE GOT to find homes or rescues for some of these sweet guys and gals. Every one of them has been behaviorally evaluated, is friendly, has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, etc. They all love people and get along with other dogs. Most are even cat-friendly. Almost all of them are crate trained. And most importantly- EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. OF. THEM. deserves to live. They are not here because they screwed up. They were failed by humans and not properly cared for. PLEASE share them so that we can change that. Everyone's adoption fee has been discounted to $40, and their info is under their photo. We're open 12-4 pm Tuesday through Saturday for adoptions. Please share them like their lives depend on it, because they do. Located in Jackson, TN and we have a $0 rescue pull fee on all of our animals.

We don't just have dogs and cats! We've got 4 precious little Guinea Pigs like Travis here, who are also looking for their happy ever after. These little ones make great pets for people who don't have a lot of outdoor space for a dog to play and don't want cats all over the furniture. They are cute and fun, but they do require proper care and maintenance. They love to share fruit and veggie snacks with their people! Their adoption fee is $20. If you're interested in adding a pocket-sized fuzzy to your family, come meet our crowd!

*Please do your research on proper Guinea Pig care prior to adoption. You will have to provide their habitat and other needs.

This pretty red head is Sandy. She was abandoned at the shelter when we were closed a few weeks ago, with a note saying that her owner of almost 15 years had passed away and the family couldn't care for her. She was an adult when they got her, so this chunky lady is 16-ish years old. As you can imagine, Sandy is not doing well at the shelter. Her entire life was ripped away from her, and she is completely lost. She has shut down and huddles in her litter box in the back of her cage. We were hoping she would come around and warm up to us and the environment, but she just keeps getting worse. She is fighting any kind of affection or handling, and she has now begun to refuse food. She will only eat minimal amounts of wet food, and it has begun to affect her health. She's losing weight and is deteriorating rapidly. In short, Sandy is going to die in the shelter. She needs a calm home that understands her fear and has a soft spot for crotchety seniors who need a safe place to live out their remaining time. She probably won't ever be a lap cat, but she deserves a chance as much as the cute 10-week-old kittens do. No little old lady should miss out on naps in the sunny spot and tuna treats in the evenings. Her situation isn't her fault. If you think you could give Sandy a place in your heart and home, please let us know. Her adoption fee has been waived to an approved adopter. She's spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, and current on her monthly flea prevention.

Kibble is our longest-running resident and has been here since he was only 12 weeks old! We can't understand why this sweet boy keeps being overlooked. 245 days is a LOOOONG time to live in a shelter, where nobody tucks you in at night or gives you belly rubs while binge-watching your favorite show. He is the king of the sploot and always lays down like the cutest frog. He loves other dogs and kids, enjoys his toys, is a great medium size (perfect for road trips, car rides to get a pup cup, or keep his person company on a trip to Lowe's or Tractor Supply), gets along with everyone, and just wants to be loved. He is crate trained and fully vetted. We want nothing more than for Kibble to find his forever family. We are open 12 to 4 pm Tuesday through Saturday for adoptions, and we would LOVE to introduce you to this handsome guy!!!

Who doesn't love a tall, dark, handsome man?! Chocko is a middle-aged, adult shepherd mix who loves a good mai tai and moonlights as a hula dancing instructor. He is incapable of committing any crime without leaving DNA evidence behind, because he sheds like you shaved a chinchilla, and he sprinkles critter glitter everywhere he goes. He's a good-natured fellow who loves meeting new people and most four-legged ladies. He is not so much a fan of four-legged gentlemen, though, and would prefer to be the only male pup in the house. He's neutered, heartworm-negative, vaccinated, and up to date on his monthly flea and heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is only $80 and we're open 12-4 pm Tuesday through Saturday for adoptions. If your life is missing a 90-pound handsome man... Come meet Chocko!!!

Kaleb and Jayla McCauley are awesome!

It will help keep puppy tummies full here at the shelter, and will allow us to help some of the most vulnerable pets and pet owners in our city. You guys rock!

Dandelion season is here! We know weeds can be annoying for those folks who like a perfectly manicured lawn, but you could be endangering your pet without realizing. Exposure to herbicides like 2,4-D, commonly used in lawn care, has been shown to increase a dog's risk of cancer by 70%. Landscape smart and protect your pets! There are natural options available ❤️

This is what 20 pounds of sass looks like when you cram it into a 2.5 pound body. Tessa has claimed Cal (the tamer of small beasts) as her favorite human, currently, but don't be fooled- this little minion of darkness has a plan to unalive everyone in the room. She's sugar until she wants to be spice. She's available for adoption to brave souls who do not fear the ancient ways or the afterlife. She's spayed, up to date on vaccines, and has been dewormed. Her adoption fee is $40 and willing sacrifices, um, I mean... potential adopters, are welcome to come meet her from 12-4 pm Tuesday through Saturday.

*We do not recommend her for homes with small children because she's sharp on all 4 corners.

***Claimed by owner***

These 2 gorgeous meat heads were found scaring the snot out of an older couple this afternoon. They're VERY well cared for and would like to go home, since they've informed us that our room service isn't up to their standard. Please share them so we can find their humans. Must prove ownership to claim.
