Hello friends! I hope everyone is staying cool in this weather. So, I’m kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place here. Since opening the salon back up, after Taylor’s passing, I have had multiple last minute cancellations, no call no shows, and now, rendering services and not receiving payment the day of. After a pick up service and full grooming services, this is the message I received yesterday from the pet parent. I am not here to bash anyone, or to hurt anyone’s feelings. However, I do believe in being fully transparent in my business. I do not groom for fun, i do it to help feed my family. It disheartens me to do this, but iI will have to up my booking fee from $20 to $50 (non refundable) per pet, at the time of booking. That $50 will come out of the cost of your groom, in the event that you do keep your appointment. In addition, the remaining balance of the groom must be paid before services are rendered. I am not unreasonable and will do whatever I can to work with anyone and provide top notch service. However, I feel as though my generosity has been taken advantage of, and I have never had this particular issue when grooming at other salons. Therefore, I feel as though I need to stick to my policies as to ensure that everyone, myself included, can enjoy my grooming services.
