Got a call about these two little ones, we don't take tube-babies YET.. but we couldn't just leave these babies to be eaten alive. And that's exactly what happens when fly eggs hatch 🤧

Apologies for the lack of updates, we reallllly needed a social hiatus! Rescue is very stressful and it's very important to know when you need a bit of a break ♥️

With that being said, here's our newest intakes. A feral mama and her lil ones, there were three babies but sadly the youngest one didn't make it.
These cuties were living under trucks and trailers in a very busy industrial area, they were struggling and all of them are skin and bones. Weight gain is the biggest goal for this bunch at the moment.

With mama being feral we will be looking at a safe place near her original "home" to re release her after she's fixed through an upcoming clinic.
Willing to sponsor her surgery? It's only $55 and it ensures no more babies for this pretty lady! If we exceed our goal, it will sponsor another feral from the Jackson neighborhoods ♥️

We have been focusing on wildlife a lot lately, but we are phasing out because once the fall chill is here - they won't be able to be released until springtime. Our last bunch of raccoon babies should be released in the upcoming weeks!

If anyone is willing to help with supplies, we would be extremely grateful- kitten chow, wet cat food, gloves and paper towels are what's needed the most.

We are a donation based rescue, we rely on the help of the community to continue rescuing around the city.

Catch-up/Update

These cuties patooties stayed with us for a bit until there was availability with another rescue. They have already been transferred BUT meet Flareon, Peaches and Ichigo anyways!

Flareon was found in the middle of third st, matted, sick and SKINNY - you might have seen him posted in the local lost and found groups..sadly nobody claimed him and he wasn't doing very well on his own.

Peaches and Ichigo were found in a friend's shed, and they almost ended up as barn kitties. (For cats their size, it's a death sentence) So we stepped in and educated said friend on why tiny kittens make awful barn cats. Now they have a chance for a long and amazing life!

All three of these babies are currently with, and will eventually be available to adopt through Saved by Zade ♥️

Please consider fostering for this amazing rescue!! We work with them from time to time and they are an amazing asset to the Michigan rabbit community 💗

182 rabbits.
We have 182 rabbits right now.
And our barn is still shut down pending approval from the state.
We have at least 5 rabbits/pairs that need to be moved in the next week.
That means we need to onboard 5 new foster families in the SW Michigan area NOW.
Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, Battle Creek, Lansing, Holland, and the places in between… we need you.
We need people who can commit to hosting a bun (or a pair) in your home for a minimum of 3 months. Preferably on going.
Must be indoors.
Your pet rabbits must be fixed.
We can provide the pen/litter pan/bowls/hay/pellets.
You provide daily greens, litter, toys, care and love.
Fosters must weigh the rabbits and trim nails every 4-6 weeks.
Fosters are expected to help promote the rabbits and the rescue.

Welcoming to the rescue - Summer and Sunset ♥️🌄

These two girls were saved by an awesome lady that saw their mama had passed, thankfully since they don't need tube fed- we could take them in until they are old enough to transition for pre-release. They are sooo much easier to clean after than raccoons 😝

It's Wishlist Wednesday!!!

We need your help with the supplies we go through the most, and at the moment - that's formula, baby cereal and disinfectant/paper towels. ANY kind of support is extremely appreciated!!

The babies are almost out of everything and we rely on and need these items to continue being able to intake for the season.. pouring from an empty cup is just not possible.
We absolutely love being able to help both wild and domestic animals, but quality of care is extremely important to us and we will have to start turning down more cases than we already do if we can't provide what they need.

From the bottoms of our hearts we are so thankful to those that have helped us get this far into the year with very minimal hiccups. Making a difference in this city and the surrounding areas has proven quite the challenge, but we aren't giving up!

Saved this sick baby from being "humanely euthanized" by pest control.. it came from a few houses down where two other babies we helped with were found.

They have scabies/mange really bad and they started wandering the neighborhood looking for a new place to live. If anyone is willing to donate some 'Rescue' brand sanitizer, we are almost out!! Scabies are severely contagious to animals AND humans 😩

HUGE thank you to a fellow rehabber named Sarah for taking this baby and the previous siblings.
There are rumored to be more, but we didn't see any when we went out today for number three - we will update if more are found and secured.

Please keep in mind we are unpaid volunteers, it's impossible to drop everything and extremely difficult to juggle several situations each day while we depend on donations to stay afloat. ⚠️ Graphic (ish) Photos ⚠️

Unexpected late-Night rescue mission.. HUGE thank you to Saved by Zade for taking these two kitties.

The first one pictured was hit by a car, over a MONTH ago- he was first reported to us on May 16th and then he crawled off somewhere. We thought he passed away with how extensive his injuries were described as.. but we found him today when on a separate task.

Thats where the second kitty- Knothead comes in, he was actually the reason the first one was able to be caught and squeezed in!
Knothead was on the wait-list for a whileeee, and it was finally his turn to be saved (by zade lol)

We cannot thank our sister rescues enough for all of their hard work and help with cases like this 💗

***Update: the grey kitty had to be humanely euthanized, the damage was too extensive and he was suffering for a long time.. RIP ***

Believe it or not, we rescue more than JUST raccoons.. but here's some more of our recent babies 😅

Please be kind to our planet, so many little ones are being orphaned or kidnapped from their moms. We genuinely need to do better as a species.
This is the worst baby season we have ever seen, and not just for raccoons.. for everything.

We are so very thankful to everyone that has donated anything at any point. Some days are discouraging but then I'm reminded that there are lots of supportive people in the community- also wanting and willing to help achieve change around our cities. So we will continue this journey for as long as possible! 💗

At the moment we are still desperately in need of formula, gloves, syringes, paper towels and disinfectant.
Any help is greatly appreciated, our small and weaning bottle babies rely heavily on these items.
