🐾 Jefe is a stunning 4-year-old Shepherd mix with a gorgeous coat and soulful eyes. He’s a true “fetch king” 🎾, loves playing ball, and takes treats ever so gently 🍖. His obedience is solid—he knows sit, down, come and will patiently sit to be leashed up 🐕‍🦺.🚨 Although he lived with other dogs, Jefe is reactive on leash and didn’t test well with dogs or cats—so he’d do best as your one and only (kids 15+) 👦👧. He’s polite, not jumpy, seems housebroken 🚽 and paperwork shows he’s crate trained 🏠. He’s simply stressed out in a kennel environment and is desperate to be back in a home ❤️.✅ Despite his leash reactivity, Jefe passes all of our temperament testing with flying colors—showing he’s friendly, confident, and ready to learn 🌟.💔 Jefe was surrendered through no fault of his own; he just wasn’t the right fit for his previous family. He’s neutered, up-to-date on vaccines 💉, microchipped 📌—and bursting with potential. He needs a strong, experienced owner with the proper tools for leash work, plus the time and structure to keep him active and engaged 🏃‍♂️🧩.🤝 One of our volunteers has even offered post-adoption support—leash-training help, enrichment ideas and more—to ensure Jefe thrives in his new home.🏡 Come visit this friendly, eager boy and be prepared to fall in love ❤️. 🚨🚨Adopt Pebbles – Let’s Change Her Story ❤️🙏🏼

The best part of Pebbles’ day is when she gets outside with our volunteers. But for the other 23 hours, she sits in her kennel… waiting. Waiting for a walk, a family, her day of freedom. She’s starting to think this might be all there is. But we know her real story hasn’t started yet.

Pebbles is a 3 1/2 year-old, 45 lb pittie mix with a petite frame and a heart full of love. She’s joyful, playful, and absolutely adores people. Whether she’s strutting her stuff on a walk, chasing a toy, or snuggling up for some pets, this girl just wants to be by your side.

She’s the perfect match for an active family with older kids—but she does need to be your one and only pet. With the right structure and love, Pebbles will shine. She’s food-motivated and eager to learn, and one of our amazing volunteers has offered to help any adoptive family with leash handling support.

Third rescue of the day!!

Our sweet girl Matilda was rescued today by our wonderful rescue partner Shore Saves!
When Matilda came to the shelter she was terrified and totally shut down. She didn’t want anyone to touch her or even come near her. The dog that left today was playful, happy, and affectionate girl!
To gain her trust and watch her come out of her shell was a beautiful thing! I can only imagine how she will bloom now that she has a loving family of her own!

A huge thank you to Sue and Andy and her new foster family for saving our beautiful Tilly!

🌸🌸London — Rescued!🌸🌸

The rescues for the day continue……..This sweet girl was recently surrendered to the shelter and was supposed to be on the adoption floor. Unfortunately, she developed a UTI a few weeks and was treated but started to experience more serious issues with blood in her urine.

Thankfully a foster from Pitties and Pals Rescue stepped up to take her into her home. The rescue immediately brought her to their vet for bloodwork, X-rays and another round of meds. We are hoping to hear some positive results in a day or two.

Huge shoutout to Kristine, Alex, and the entire Pitties and Pals team for once again stepping up for a dog in need. Your hearts are unmatched, and your dedication changes lives.

We know London is in the best hands, and we’re all rooting for her recovery. 🙏🏼💗🐾

📣New to the Adoption Floor! 🐾🐾

Meet Buddy — a 10-year-old Lab mix with a white and tan coat and a heart as golden as his years. 🐾🤎👴

This sweet senior boy is all about companionship. He loves being close to your side and is always attentive and tuned in to everything you say and do. 💬👂❤️
He walks beautifully on a leash 🚶‍♂️ and is great for all handling — the definition of a gentleman.

Buddy has previously lived with both dogs and cats and seems to get along well with them. 🐶🐱✔️
He’s a calm, loving soul who just wants to feel safe, warm, and loved again.

At 10 years old, he should be resting on a soft bed in a cozy home, not waiting in a noisy shelter. Please don’t let this gentle boy wait too long. He deserves a peaceful retirement filled with love. 🛋️💤🐾

RESCUED🩷RESCUED💜RESCUED

So today was a pretty fantastic day at the shelter for three very lucky pups!

Our first Rescue of the day was our amazing boy Louie! This gentle soul found himself abandoned in the woods late at night, severely matted and skin and bones. He was brought to the shelter and received much love and care and today he was able to take his freedom ride.

A huge thank you to our friends at FOWA Rescue for immediately stepping up to help Louie continue on his journey. Thank you so much to Dayna, Nancy and everyone at FOWA, and a special thank you to his foster Jac for opening up his heart and home to Louie. We know this boy is in the very best of hands.

Congratulations, good luck, live your very best life Louie! 💜

Meet Raven — a 7-year-old sweetheart with a gentle soul and so much love to give! 🐾💗

Raven is the kind of dog who just wants to be by your side. She loves getting attention and will happily curl up next to you for a cozy nap. 💤💞

She seems like she’d do well with other dogs who match her size and calm energy but she needs a home without cats.
Raven would do best in a home with children over 10 👧👦.

Shelter life is tough for this sweet girl — we’re hoping she finds her forever family soon, before she starts to shut down. Her spirit is too special to fade. ✨🐶

Smoki would thrive with a family who has the time and energy to continue his basic training. He does needs to be the only pet in the home and would do best with kids over 10.

Jupiter just made her way to the adoption floor and we hope her time in the shelter is short.

Jupiter is a 7yr old Brown Tiger, Female spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines. 
Jupiter is a very sweet girl and a bit shy. She may need a little time to adjust and become comfortable in her new home.
