✨🐾 New to the Adoption Floor!

These two sweet souls were surrendered through no fault of their own, and they’re so confused and stressed at the shelter. What they really need is to be back in a loving home. 💕

Meet Diesel (darker brown) 🐶
🐾 6-year-old Australian Shepherd
🐾 Great with dogs, cats & kids
🐾 Loves fresh air, walks & butt wiggles
🐾 Needs a little weight management and exercise
🐾 Sweet, affectionate & easygoing

Meet Ripp (tan) 🐾
🐾 5-year-old Catahoula Leopard Hound/Curr mix
🐾 Good with dogs, nervous with cats
🐾 Best with kids 8+ due to size
🐾 Affectionate & loving
🐾 Would benefit from daily walks & some weight management

💞 While Diesel is a bit more independent, he truly enjoys Ripp’s company. We’d love for them to find a home together as a bonded pair—it’s a big ask, but we’re hopeful their forever family is out there!

Both boys are neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. ✅

The Northern Ocean County Animal Facility will be closed tomorrow, Monday in observance of Labor Day. The shelter will reopen on Tuesday at 1 PM. We have many many wonderful kitties and dogs just waiting for forever homes. Please stop by.!

🆘💔💔 RESCUE NEEDED 💔💔🆘

Our requests for Rescue help never ends. We are now searching, hoping and praying for Rescue help for Liam, approximately 11 to 12 months old, lab mix who needs out of the shelter immediately.

Liam has passed all of his assessments,  has no resource guarding, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. He walks beautifully on leash, listens well, is very eager to learn. He needs a calm, confident leader. Unfortunately, Liam is no other pets and no children.

We need to find Rescue help for this boy immediately! We have been nonstop contacting Rescues and unfortunately most are overwhelmed and do not respond, but we continue to beg for help. Please share for Liam, any 501(c)(3) Rescue that can help this pup out of the Shelter please email [email protected] as soon as possible.

🆘🚨 Fospice Home Needed for Princess 💔💔

We have a rescue standing by ready to help this precious girl. Princess is a 10 ½ year old sweetheart who was sadly surrendered to the shelter. She adores being pet, enjoys her meals, and has the cutest little piglet walk. Unfortunately, Princess has a large mass on her paw and several others on her backside, so what she needs most is comfort and love in her golden time. Samples were sent to the lab so she does have mast cell tumors.

She’s not the easiest placement—Princess must be the only pet, with no young kids or cats. While she isn’t reactive to seeing dogs out on walks, she does get uncomfortable when they come too close. Even a separate space in a home would be enough to give her peace. She doesn’t need much but being out of the shelter will already be a relief.

Princess doesn’t belong in a shelter during this stage of her life. She deserves a soft bed, gentle hands, and someone to show her what love feels like. 💕

💗🐾 Hi, I’m Coco! 🐾💗

I’ve been waiting so patiently for my forever family… could it be you? I’m 2 years old, just the right size (not too big, not too small!) and I’ve got the sweetest, most soulful eyes—at least that’s what everyone tells me. 💕

I can be a little shy at first, but once I know you’re my friend, I turn into a total lovebug. I already know “sit” and “down,” I walk nicely on leash, and I’m super food-motivated (hint, hint 😉). Oh, and if you like to throw the ball—yay! That’s my favorite game. 🎾

Here’s the truth: I’d really like to be your one and only. No other pets, just me and you against the world. I promise I’ll give you all the love you could ever need. 💗

I’d do best in a calm home with older kids (15+) who understand that sometimes I need a little space. I’m spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and soooo ready to start my happily-ever-after.

🐾 Come meet me between 1–4 PM—I think you’ll fall in love. Maybe you’ll even wonder how you ever lived without me.

⚠️Please share! Our little shelter is jam-packed, and we haven’t had much foot traffic from potential adopters lately.

💗Meet Aniya💗a sweet, cuddly 9-year-old girl with so much love still to give. She was surrendered when her family had to relocate and couldn’t take her with them — through no fault of her own. 💔Despite everything, she’s always happy, wagging her tail, and soaking up every bit of attention she can get. She truly misses being in a home and loves her time out of the kennel.

Aniya is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, housebroken, crate-trained, and passed all assessments. She is super friendly and absolutely adores cuddles. 💛

The shelter is no place for this gentle soul. Aniya deserves a loving home where she can spend her golden years surrounded by comfort, affection, and a family that cherishes her. 💗🙏🏼🐾

🚨Please share. Once again every kennel run is full in our small shelter.

Adopt Zeke! 🐾💙

This sweet, playful 9-year-old still has plenty of pep in his step and endless love to give! Zeke loves going for walks, playing fetch, and can’t get enough of squeaky toys. He is loving, full of life, and understandably confused about being in a shelter. His sister Aniya is by his side, but Zeke deserves a warm, cozy home all his own.

He’s neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative, housebroken, crate-trained, and passed all assessments — basically the perfect companion for someone looking for a senior dog with tons of love to share. A shelter is no place for a senior like Zeke; he deserves belly rubs, cozy naps, and a family to adore him for the rest of his days.

Meet Wilburt, our 4.5-year-old handsome heartthrob with the dreamiest red coat and the kind of puppy-dog eyes that could melt anyone’s heart. 💖 He’s been waiting patiently for his forever family, and we just know his perfect match is out there.

Wilburt is a simple guy who loves the little things in life—walks in the fresh air, a good game of fetch with his favorite ball, and long sunbathing sessions. ☀️ He’s got a solid sit, seems to be housebroken, and he’s always ready to flash you that sweet smile.

He’d do best with slow intros to other pups and would prefer no cats or young kiddos while he’s still working on his manners. But at his core, he’s a good boy with a big heart who just needs the right people to love him. 💕

✨ Back on the Adoption Floor! ✨

Meet Drake 🐾 This 11-month-old cutie is back at the shelter through no fault of his own. We think he might be a Jack Russell Terrier/Patterdale mix, and one look at his bow tie and you’ll see why he steals hearts. 💙

But don’t be fooled by his dapper looks—Drake is full of sass! He needs an experienced home with no children under 15, no cats, and no other dogs (he must be your one and only). He’s a talkative little guy and could use training to work on his yappy side—but the good news is, he LOVES treats, which makes him eager to learn. He already has a solid sit command and is practicing his patience like a pro.

Just look at all his expressions—this boy wears every emotion on his face 😂.

✅ Up to date on vaccines

Right now, Drake is taking up a big kennel run 😢 and would much rather be in a home where he can thrive with people willing to help him be his best self.
