In early 2007, a small group of retired farmers gathered to discuss working with Mrs. A 501c3 non-profit corporation called the Bowie Old Farm Reunion, Inc.

Marie Bowie and the Thomason Bowie Foundation to help utilize her property to help preserve the history, farming methods, and family life of our ancestors. was formed for this mission. We hold monthly meetings with a potluck supper on the second Thursday at 6:30 and conduct a Bowie Old Farm Show the fourth Saturday in September each year plus several fun horseshows through the year. Camping with e

lectrical and water is available for $12/night. We invite you to join in our efforts to preserve the farming history of our past and encourage family fun.

As you all know, the hurricane destroyed trees all over Iva including the Bowie horse riding and walking trails. We would like to thank all volunteers from the locals, the Purpose Riders, the Over 40 women trailriders and their husbands and the Crescent Cross Country team members for helping clear the trails from the fallen trees. Also thanks to Gary Thompson for working on the arena and Ken Jordan for repairing the electrial and water hookups at the campsites. We couldn't do these jobs without this volunteer help. Thanks again.
