There are days that I wonder why I do what I do. And then things like this happen and I remember that what I do truly matters. Maybe not to everyone that comes through here but to many. I love these kids like they are my own. But I also love these ponies. And all I ever do is try to do right by them. To give them the training they need to go out in the world and hopefully find them good homes that will love and cherish them. The top two pictures of this collage are of Ella Bostwick with her pony GlanNant Elderberry, first in Leadline and the second as Wellington Circuit Short Stirrup champion. The bottom picture is from today when 22 year old Ella stopped by to visit 34 year old Berry in his retirement. That’s what I call a lifetime of love. ❤️

We are eternally grateful to Judy Hartman for breeding such a wonderful pony and wish to extend our gratitude to his amazing rider for her hard work and undying love of this young pony!!

Today was a great day here at Kelviden!!! Our long time farrier Joe Chicone came back from a hiatus after having heart surgery. When I say our long time farrier, I mean LONG time….like from the very beginning THIRTY years ago!! He picked a rather chilly day to make his return but we are sooooo happy to have him back!!!

For those of you that have asked this is the aftermath of the storm that came through last night. This property is literally the farm next door but these barns are about a mile away. Further than I thought but still terrifyingly close. As of this morning all seems fine here. Thank you so much to all of you that have reached out worrying about us!!

Just wanted to let you all know that we are fine. There was a suspected tornado that apparently flattened the farm next to us. But it appears we were spared. And luckily there are currently no animals at the farm nexr door. We will assess more in the morning and keep you all posted. But for now we are grateful.
