Something exciting is in the works at Animal Encounters! We are working on creating a new very special Encounter Program! This means adding a few new animals to our reptile collection. This is one of our new lizard he is a baby Ornate Uromastyx Lizard.

Our Story

Animal Encounters' mission is to provide educational and entertaining programs which enhance people's appreciation of animals and help reinforce positive traits such as kindness and empathy.

Issaquah, Washington-based Animal Encounters is a family business which began as an outgrowth of Kim Connolly's passion for animals and her experience as a science educator. Over the years, Kim brought a wide variety of animals to her classroom and worked as a zookeeper and zoo educator. Kim was a leader in 4-H programs for many years in King County and, most recently, Snohomish County.

Kim was often asked if she could provide "animal encounters" at birthday parties, preschools, etc., and as these became increasingly popular a new venture was born: ANIMAL ENCOUNTERS!
