Well Blue Dog takes another hit. Sadly we will NOT be opening this month. The location we had is no longer an option. A few things came up during permitting process and noise became a major factor. We are very sorry to you all and hope that we can some day open again. But for now things are not looking great. We will continue to look for a new location and hope to be playing with your dogs in the future. Thank you all for your support and help. We continue to miss you and your dogs very much.

Ok everyone. Roll Call! We have a location locked in. 240 NW Gilman BLVD on the second floor. We are very excited. The plan is to open in mid September. The space is more than twice the size our previous location, much nicer, lots of PARKING and easy access. We will have a dedicated indoor potty area to keep the dogs well potty trained. Returning clients will receive a welcome back 25% discount on your first daycare purchase. We hope to see all of our Blue Dog family again in September.

Ok so don’t get too excited… yet… but there is a possibility that we may be able to reopen in Issaquah. Our question to you is, if/when we do, how many of you will be returning to Blue Dog? What if we didn’t have an outdoor potty area? We are working hard to find a facility that will be best for our four legged friends so stay tuned for updates.

The best part about Blue Dog is getting to know so many amazing dogs. We can't count the number of dogs that feel like family to us, and we are so lucky to have met them all.

The worse part about Blue Dog is when we lose part of our family.

We learned today about the passing of Axel earlier this week. We are heartbroken and there's a fair amount of tears.

Axel was part of our first group of doggies, there from the very beginning. He graduated all of our classes and attended many events, later with his younger sister Lexa and then even later with his younger brother Boomer.

Axel had an amazing personality and was much loved not only by us, but by our other clients and the rest of our extended Blue Dog family.

His parents, Mark and Jill, and their adult kids Derek and Chelsea, were also some of our biggest supporters, friends, and family. We can't comprehend the loss they feel.

We are grateful that we knew Axel, saddened by his loss, and extend our deep sorrow and condolences to the Rothgeb family. We loved him too.
