At the ripe old age of seven years old Stella decided to earn her first title just for funzies. Stella is a Tiv pup that came back to us a year and a half ago. I used her as a guide dog last fall and she crushed it. Her and her mom were a great team! I used her as a setup dog when I judged Saturday a few weeks ago at the Prairie Lakes HRC for Seasoned. She had so much fun we decided to run her in Started on Sunday earning her first ribbon. Now she has a total of 4 and a title to add to her collection.

Off to Garrison Animal Hospital for a 6 week vet check for Boo's pups and Birdie's baby birds! We are a teaching hospital, so vet students Emily and Callie and CVT Maddie helped us while Dr Katie did exams today with 19 puppies! Plenty of puppy breath to go around! Enrichment is a key factor in happy and healthy dogs! I recently got a call from a client and this was one of the topics in our conversation! Sometimes puppies need distractions or things to do. In this case she was trying to give an older dog a break from the puppies activity level. This can be used for so many different things!

Do you need help crate training your dog or puppy? Giving them something in their crate that is delicious and helps with mental stimulation is important. Stuffing toys with goodies helps - freeze it overnight for it to last longer. Help them love their crate! Make it fun, make it positive!
