My goodness, what a difference a week can make. I didn’t share our new pup’s arrival last Friday until I was sure we could have good news to share. Rescue can be heartbreaking at times, and there is plenty of sad situations that come with it. Luckily this is not one of those anymore.
A neighbor had called to tell me this giant dog showed up at his job site and followed him inside the house and into his car and could he bring him to me for help? I said, of course, and immediately called the county animal services to make sure no one was looking for him. And sadly, of course there wasn’t and he has no microchip. ļæ¼ Vet appointment on Monday confirmed that this big boy was actually a very large young puppy barely 2 years old! Skin and bones, but luckily negative for parasites and hw. ļæ¼ this poor guy is not house trained yet nor does he know how to behave inside of one, but we are diligently working with him to make him the perfect family pet. After neuter and more training, he will be available through our partners at Palmetto Animal League for adoption. Y’all meet Buddy! Day one to today:

Our Mission

Grace Farm Animal Rescue and Sanctuary, a 501c3 charitable organization, is committed to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming, or providing sanctuary for, abandoned, abused, neglected or unwanted animals of all kinds. We also provide a place for children and adults to come and interact with and learn about these animals, while teaching them how to care for them and experiencing the joy and love these creatures give. We encourage and welcome people with special needs, youth groups, and our US Veterans to spend time experiencing the healing power of equine therapy, the joy of petting a pig belly, or just playing ball with the dogs.

Our mission is to rescue, assist, and educate.

We work with our surrounding underfunded county animal agencies as a resource as well, providing shelter and/ or assistance for animals in emergency situations.

Grace Farm is solely funded by public donations. All monies go directly to care of animals. There are no paid employees.
