Docs been out in the pasture getting fat since after champ show. Probably time to get his fitness program started again 🤣 we all needed a rest after this summer.

Trust me when i say this, river safety is very important! Especially as we bring young training horses out on the trail. This year we were obviously in a drought with low water levels but general safety includes-
Before entering the river, check the depth, current, and riverbed from the bank.
Look for submerged logs, rocks, holes, and drop-offs.
Avoid muddy, fast-moving, flooded, or rapidly rising water.
Look downstream for obstacles and a safe exit point.
Remove unnecessary gear that could snag.
Make sure your horse is calm and confident around water.
Never cross alone if you can avoid it.
