Ray is a stunning 1.5-year-old German Shepherd who has it all—movie-star looks, a playful spirit, and a heart that’s been through a lot but still overflows with love. He adores people, gets along beautifully with other dogs (he’s a daycare regular!), and lives for cuddles and playtime.

He’s sensitive and soulful, craving connection and reassurance. Because of his past, he does have some separation anxiety, so he’s looking for a patient, gentle human who can offer him stability, structure, and love.

🐾❤️ GEMMA AND RAY CHECKING IN ❤️🐾

Our dogs love their daily walks with our volunteers! They get to stretch their legs, read and leave peegrams and socialize!

🐈 🐾 THANK YOU COSMO 🐾🐈

It takes a village and sometimes the best support comes in unexpected ways: meet Cosmo, the red cat with a big heart and even bigger job — helping Carmen, a shy German Shepherd, learn that the world isn’t so scary after all. 🐾❤️

When we recently rescued Carmen, she arrived at her experienced foster home timid and unsure. But along came Cosmo, the confident feline who took her under his paw. With quiet companionship and lots of gentle tail flicks, he’s helped Carmen come out of her shell little by little. Now they’re often spotted napping side by side — proof that healing can come from the most unexpected friendships. 🐕 🐈

Here’s to Cosmo, the best emotional support kitty Carmen never knew she needed. 💫

🐾 ❤️THANK YOU ❤️🐾 The Good Pawject

Jackie and Tad make up “The Good Pawject”. They support cat and dog rescue groups, and even some city shelters. They find out what each group needs, go into pet supply stores, and purchase these items and donate them. They do it out of the goodness of their heart to help support the rescue community.

The Good Pawject came to our Coastal German Shepherd Rescue OC adoption event at Centinela Feed and Pet Supply on Saturday the 19th. They “took our order” and purchased puppy food and shampoo for our new litter of puppies.

The Coastal Volunteers and the puppies’ foster mom would like to thank Jackie and Tad for their generosity and kindness.

🐾 ❄️ MEET GEMMA ❄️🐾

This frosty queen is a German Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix with a heart as big as her kiddie pool… especially when it’s filled with ice! 💙

Gemma is the perfect blend of playful and sweet — she’ll happily chill in a pile of cubes while the kids run through sprinklers, then trot over for a cuddle and a belly rub. Her hobbies include backyard lounging, popsicle supervision, and dramatically flopping into her pool like the diva she is.

Great with people, especially the little ones, Gemma is ready to melt into her forever home. Could you be her happily-ever-after?
