What a wonderful day! Spent the first half at the Mushroom Festival with Estill County Farmers' Market and the second half I inspected the garden to discover our asparagus survived last year's chicken onslaught!!

Spent my weekend at a clinic with Twisted L Horsemanship. It was an amazing experience that really helped Sham and I reached a new level of understanding.

Wood stove is on.
Horses are in the barn with blankets on.
Chickens are in the coop.

Pigs..... are choosing to bundle up in a pile outside under a blanket of snow instead of the perfectly good shelter we built for them.

While some of us have been relaxing during the cold season, we've been working hard with the animals and the garden! (Who said you cant garden in the winter 🫢)

Well. Sort of. Onion seeds started, new garden beds being built, seeds ordered, and for the FIRST time I have actually laid out a strict plan and schedule for all of our gardening areas.

Wish us luck trying out Daikon Radishes for the first time, but otherwise you should expect from us this year:

Jalepenos, tomatoes, onions, potatoes, cucumbers(pickling and sliced), basil, dill, and garlic!

Merry Christmas from everyone here at FaithView!!!

While we await to open gifts with family, we've made sure to pass out lots of our Lard Soaps made right here on the farm!

While not as glamorous as Goat Milk Soap, Lard soap is still incredible beneficial and great for those with sensitive skin. We hope everyone is enjoying them this christmas :)

Hello Everyone! A few changes to announce.

While I am still dog training, our focus has broadened with farm life and Ive had to take on lots of new responsibilities.

To bring focus to other areas of our life and what we offer, Ive changed our page name to our farm name FaithView. This is a family name and deeply cherished.

For those of you who have followed my journey through the military and from Texas to Kentucky, thank you for supporting me through all of the life developments! Stay tuned to see more:)

What a difference a couple weeks can make.

This momma was found giving birth during a freeze. A farmer rescued her and her only 2 surviving puppies.

She wasn't out of the danger yet because her local shelter had a parvo outbreak and that meant they had no real safe space for her and her pups.

We decided to bring her in to foster and she will now be picked up by a rescue in march!!

Fostering saves lives and can introduce you to a huge range of stories, personalities, and experiences. Please consider speaking to your local shelter or rescue if you have an extra space in your home to temporarily share :)

Fostering does not mean spending more money! A foster is sponsored by whatever rescue or shelter you go through. That means whatever food, medical care, or equipment your need to house a dog is provided by them!

This past weekend was lake time!!

We spent time teaching Strax and Phoebe to be comfortable and *still* on the Kayaks.

Phoebe has had training on a paddle board so she took to it like a pro!

Strax is on the bigger side, so he's still learning to balance on land 🤣. He still had plenty fun swimming!

5 weeks and Nibs is finally learning to play with toys! This is a HUGE milestone and a sign that he has decompressed enough to start active training and learning.

I am so excited to have him so engaged.
