Hi friends of Penny and the Pets!

You may or may not have heard by now but I was involved in an accident on Friday July 7.

My mobile unit is in the process of being evaluated for repair or replacement so this puts a kink in my mobile grooming business as it was.

I appreciate the continued support and well wishes during this rough patch! You all are some of the best people! 💕

I would love to continue to serve my clients at your home or in my groom room at my home. I am partnering with an amazing team at Zoomin Groomin to take care of the pets that prefer mobile appointments. Their fees are a bit higher but I can pick up most of my mobile grooming clients without missing a beat. I’ll be in touch to coordinate and discuss options to keep your pets looking and feeling their best. Please reach out with any questions including a new price quote for mobile appts and scheduling.

I use MoeGo for my scheduling software and they offer a Pet Parent Portal where you can view your appointments. Let me know if you would like to utilize this and I’ll send you your personalized link to get all set up!

After the seemingly endless repairs on the truck, Penny and the Pets is back in business and ready to take care of your munchkins again!

Hello everyone! 🚛Truck update:

I got the truck back from the mechanic on Monday March 20 and have been trying to get everyone I missed back on the schedule.

But… there have been a few hiccups. I apologize to everyone I was not able to find a spot for.

Well, “Murphy” struck again. On Thursday April 6, the on board ONAN generator (that gives me power to run the lights, AC, and blow dryer while I’m grooming your pups in the truck) decided to stop working in the middle of a groom!

I took a beat and pivoted, hooking up my Honda generators while making an appt to get the ONAN fixed.

Guess what… “Murphy” wasn’t done yet!

This past Friday April 14, the truck blew a spark plug again! (I’m not sure if it was the same one as March 15).

The universe is telling me I need to take a break so I think I will listen.

Penny and the Pets will be closed indefinitely.

I apologize for the inconvenience and understand if you may want to go with another groomer while I am unable to travel.

I appreciate the support all of my clients have given me and really hate to disappoint any of you. 💕

I’ll be using this downtime to rest and recharge.

Penny and the Pets is currently down for repairs.

On Wednesday morning a spark plug blew out while I was driving to my first appointment and I took it to the mechanic. I was hoping to get it back quickly and be back on the road to take care of all my furry friends by this morning. They are now saying it will not be ready until maybe the middle of next week.

I’m very sorry for any inconvenience this causes clients 🥺😔

As soon as I’m back up and running, I will let you all know so we can get everyone rescheduled.

As it sits, we are FULLY BOOKED until the second week in November, with a waitlist for any cancellations. Hello,

I am writing this message to let you know that I will no longer be servicing the Charleston and John's Island area. I appreciate everyone that has supported my small business over the years. It is a hard decision to make and I will miss every pet and family that I have met there.

There are many factors that led to this decision and I did not come to it lightly. My last Charleston Day is September 5th, 2022. I hope this gives everyone enough time to find other arrangements for your pets.

Happy Friday Everyone! I wanted to let you know because she is in the process of a move, Margo will be unavailable until further notice. Currently we are booking 7 to 10 weeks out, with a list of people waiting for cancellations to occur. Long story short, if you are looking to have your pets groomed, and you don't have an appointment, we will most likely be unable to get you in before then. If you want, schedule an appointment for a future date with us now, and then when the time comes, we can get you on a reoccurring schedule. Thank you for your patience.
