Shout out to Norm, Harley and Rufus!!!!!
 What is a Structured Daycare?
A Daycare that operates using structure, rules, and boundaries to help slow down/control dogs as needed. We teach these rules and boundaries to every dog that enters our Daycare program. They learn very quickly what is and is not tolerated. The support we provide also helps those that are a little uncertain feel more comfortable, as they figure out that we have their back, and this certainly helps build their confidence! 🥰
Our staff is highly trained in canine behavior and body language, so they’re very quick to pick up cues and signals before anything happens, and we specialize in large group socialization. It’s not necessarily the human-to-dog ratio that’s important, but the trained and skilled eyes on those dogs!
In this clip we have Norm (Shepherd/Husky mix) and Rufus and his sister Harley (Great Dane mixes). Their humans are very good friends and enjoy camping and hanging out together. Their DOGS, however, do not. They do not get along and would prefer to TKO each other. Mr. Norman spent about 6 months as a shadow dog (with about 2 months in muzzle!) because he just could not be trusted. With a lot of work, he has safely integrated into Daycare and is actually quite respectful and takes direction nicely! Harley and Rufus slowly integrated after a few visits as shadow dogs, and have settled in nicely! BUT the best part is…all 3 together!!!!! They may not play together, but they can safely be out and about in harmony! ❤️
We rarely say no to any dog for Daycare (in fact, to date…NEVER!). We have dogs in our Daycare that have been banned from other daycares. We have dogs in our Daycare that have been told they can NEVER be a daycare dog. We have INTACT dogs in our Daycare (5 in this video!).
