The Heart Of Iowa Blowout welcomes judge Raymond Gonnet to the show ring!
Raymond Gonnet was born and raised on a feedlot and cow/calf operation in Alberta, Canada, where his passion for the cattle industry began at a young age.
He spent ten years exhibiting cattle through 4-H and started raising and selling show cattle on his own by the age of 16. In 2011, Raymond moved to the United States to further pursue a career in the show cattle industry.
Today, Raymond resides in Lawrence, Kansas, where he owns and operates Competitive Edge Genetics alongside his fiancée, Sterling.
Together, they market approximately 100 head of prospect steers and heifers each fall through private treaty sales. They own and promote multiple AI sires with semen available nationwide, and have sold numerous state fair and national champion steers and heifers across the country.
