Coming on 2 years since I through up my arms and said I'm done. I'm selling it and going back to school... i needed something new, I had thought.
I had just lost my father to cancer!!!! My aunt a year before to cancer, my grandmother 5 months before that. It was alot of grieving, being alone even though I have so many that love and support me, it wasn't enough, it wasn't my life circle, that circle was completely shattered!!! How am I supposed to do all this??
Back it up to 2016!!
L.C.S. All Shapes and Sizes- was my mother's creation!!! I was just gonna be the back bone to my mother's dream, for once give her something she had always gave me! Everything i wanted and more!!!
Everything fell in to place so easily like it was meant to be!
She opened her shop September 15th, 2016!!!
Fast forward a month and a half, my momma was so HAPPY, so excited talking about files and dogs and how much we already had she light up a cigarette in the shop and said oh s**t as she ran out the building, laughing!!! Biggest smile i seen on her face in so long!!! Years..
I found her that night on the couch, thought she was passed out. She was baby sitting her 4 year old granddaughter who is my child. For a hot sec I was so pi**ed.. my mother had a massive heartattach that took her life!!!
So what the hell am I supposed to do w all this!!!
I just lost one of my everythings!!!
New business, a 4 year old and grieving, now that's a damn challenge!!!
Put one foot in front of the other and took it one day at a time. Oh so many tears have been shed in that shop to so many dogs and some clients too!!!
Yea I am human and I am real and have an over load of emotions, might be why I have a gift w animals, I think it's the native in me!!!
I made it five years, so many panic attacks along the way but yet so many days I was ready to quiet, it was so hard not having mom, but my momma believed in me, thats why I'm still here 5 years later.
Now fast forward to when I lost my circle and I said I was done!!!
I had once said my momma better work some magic cause I'm over it!
Miss Rhylan, my up and coming groomer( was n still is my bather) straight up cried to me because what I do is her dream, got my heart, damn it! so we stuck it out once again. Slowly over a few months this groomer came to me and that groomer came to me and all the sudden it went so fast I realized momma worked that majic!!!
I have one he'll of an amazing team of ladies!!!!
My momma said she was gonna have a family owned and operated establishment, and that's exactly what I have got. Just never new it was gonna be 5 family's plus and growing!!!
Miss Shanna, has been w me for 5 years, oh man, this girl! She grabbed a feather of my wign and hung on for life. This girl has been to hell and back w me and stood strong!! Has such a love and dream w the life of dogs. If it's not natural shell fig it out
Miss Rhylan, is going on 3 and moving up. Remember she is the reason I'm still here!!! This girl is such a old sole, gonna make me cry at graduation!! Cant wait to watch this girl grow
Miss Kahly, she had a ticket to pay a year and a half ago, she's our floater, little of this little of that:)
Comes and goes, still finding her way
Miss Erika, my stray, found her on a walk in nail trim a year ago, she a natural, from New York, we still got some iowa to rub of yet but she's getting so involved w rescue and trying to save them all!
Miss olivia, she new there was better then where she was so she took a leap, showed up w 2 years under her belt. little ball of energy she is, love listening her talk to the dogs while working w them!
Miss Tori, came in as a bather carrying a baby!!! Id Catch her pushing her self to much cause she loved what she was doing. She had a baby boy on March 11th and will be coming back to learn the real deal, can't wait!! Gonna be a challenge for me w her southpaw self
Miss, Zoe, so hesitated, she took the first leap before Olivia and got burned. Took her a little while to realize you're in L.C.S. if your in here your family, we got you and its okay!!! 7 years under her belt so we just let her go!!! She will love your dog like a little girl who gets to take them home, every time!!!
MISS JEANTTE, she deserves capitalize...
She was one of my mother's clients who became a friend. She help paint L.C.S. in the very begging. She had more time in there than I did. She stuck w me over the years, she would cry w me, have any hug I need and smile when we talk about my momma. She wanted a job and she wanted it w me. She got it!!!! She is my biggest fan, my biggest pride and my true support!!! Best thing i got to feel empty shoes i have. Absolutely love this woman 💯 percent, so if calls to many times for vaccinations she's truly just doing her job and it's gonna be what it is till we cant!!!
I am the C in L.C.S. and this isn't even a quart of the story we have here!!! C is for Cassie, sometimes Cathy or whatever you would like to call me, lol
I graduated from kirkwood w my mother in 2010 for pet grooming/pet management. Lived a life with so many animals, all kinds!! Native remember.. I have something special with animals that most don't see until you find me or watch me work w a special need, can't explain it but I can guarantee I'm more than just a groomer and teaching everything I know to my team
Me and my ladies don't just love what we do we all live it!!!
