I leave you this evening with the hope that your night is filled with sweet dreams and hope. Feed the Joy has done what it can do this day to make the world a better place....we hope you have as well. That being said, we know that we could not do what we do without the help of giving people and the love of God. We're a team....me and God. Rock on, Ione. I know we can make it good. Feed the Joy is currently focused on the devastation in Texas. I have many friends and animal rescues there that need help. These are people I have known for YEARS and are saving people and animals without thought of benefit or rebuild.....it's about saving lives NOW. I hope you all find some system that you might want to provide help thru....Feed the Joy donations will be absolutely, totally, without question given to the needs of Texas. I wish you peace this night, for there are many without peace at this moment. I could easily quote the Bible, but you are all able to do so for yourselves as you please. We grieve the ones lost and celebrate the lives of all....There will be many wooden crosses on the right side of these roads.....bless them all....

Feed the Joy has made a donation to this organization.....will we be able to pay our bills? lol....maybe not....but we will always be there to support those in need, whether it be here in town or another place in need. Rock on, Ione. We have a mission to help, and that we shall do....no matter what. I have many animal rescue friends in this area and it is a heart burden that only God gives us the strength to handle. I hope your day is filled with love and prayer.

Good Sunday evening! It's been toasty! Due to the weather staying so HOT, I've decided another week of wraps is in order. This week will be: Chicken Caesar Wrap or Charcuterie Wrap (ham, turkey, cheese, giardiniera, olives, etc). Each will come with a hefty side of old fashioned macaroni salad. Meals are $12 (10 for 65+). Meals will be available for delivery or pick up Thursday, July 3; delivery from 12-2, pick ups from 4-6pm. You may opt to pick up at the shop Friday-Sunday 11-3. In celebration of Independence Day, Feed the Joy will be accepting donations for APAL (Animal rescue here in Amador County). Fireworks are fun if folks are careful - I'm hoping my neighbor down the street doesn't set the creek on fire again this year! 😮You may make your donations with canned food or monetarily. ALL donations will be forwarded to APAL - ZERO administrative fees or any of that nonsense! Please feel free to make your donations directly to them if you wish. Their website wishlist indicates they prefer Taste of the Wild all life stages cat food and Wellness-brand canned kitten food, or a giftcard so they can purchase other needed items. Be safe, be mindful, and stay joyful!

Good Saturday morning! Feed the Joy shop is open 11-3 today thru Monday! It's pretty toasty out already, so swing by and get a cool-tie for the heatwave. Soak in water and you stay cool for hours! Cold drinks available for a buck if you find yourself walking downtown and get thirsty. C'mon by and check out what's what. New market bags and goodies, too! Stay joyful!

Good Sunday evening! This week is a bit of a twist.....featuring a Turkey/cheddar wrap and/or a Beef French Dip Wrap....Each comes on a bed of greens and a big side of Fruit Salad. The turkey wrap will have a nice row of lettuce, tomato, cheddar and Cukes, and the French Dip will have beef, caramelized onions and swiss with a side of au jus (you can heat your wrap or eat it cold....it's a personal choice!). They are $12 ($10 for 65+). Meals will be available for delivery or pick up Thursday, June 26; Delivery from 12-2, pick ups from 4-6 at Feed the Joy shop. Feed the Joy would like to give a BIG shout-out to Mike from Comfort Solutions and Chief Mackey. One of our (autistic) citizens had an accident on his bike today. Mike helped get him seated in the shade and kept him settled until Chief Macky showed up to do the official thang. I would also like to thank the citizen who helped get one of our Ionians settled, even though he was on a mission to get doughnuts! That is what community is about! I'm sorry I didn't get your name, but you were so supremely helpful in getting our Glen in a safe place and being kind to someone who needed a bit of extra help. Rock on, Ione! You did good today!

Feed the Joy shop and Gold Country Marketing would like to thank everybody who came into the shop during the car show Saturday. We met so many nice folks, made new friends and were able to garner a few bucks to be donated to APAL. In case you didn't know, sales of craft items go to APAL and sales of food items go to help our local seniors who may be having issues with getting healthy meals. We appreciate the participation of all folks to help other folks. We don't ask the uncomfortable questions, so never feel obligated to give or receive based on any specific criteria. We are community focused and will remain so no matter what is going on in this world. Rock on, Ione!

This week is warming up so we will be having 2 salads: Italian Meatball Salad (pork meatballs lightly simmered in sauce then placed on green with super fresh veggies; pick Ranch or Italian Dressing), and Chicken Fajita Salad (Marinated Chicken breast, peppers, onions, corn, other veggies on a bed of greens; pick Ranch, Salsa Ranch or Italian dressing).
