🎄Holiday Parade Reminder – IT’S TOMORROW!!!

Join us for our last Dee-O-Gee Care parade! If you couldn’t make it last year, check out the cuteness that you missed!

Details:
• Get-together with the new owner starts at 3:00 PM, at the east end of McKinley Street. Catered by Crystal Cafe with hot cocoa, coffee, and treats.
• Lineup for the parade after that.
• Walking starts at 4:30 PM.

• Dress your dogs up, too!

🎄Holiday Parade Reminder – This Saturday!

Join us for our last Dee-O-Gee Care parade! Let’s make it our biggest one yet!

We’re excited to introduce Alyson, the new owner of Dee-O-Gee Care, before the parade. She officially takes over on January 5th. She’s met most of your pups already, and we’d love for you to meet her too!

Event Details:
• Get-together starts at 3:00 PM. Catered by Crystal Cafe with hot cocoa, coffee, and treats.
• Lineup for the parade after that.
• Walking starts at 4:30 PM.

What to Bring:
• Your ugliest, brightest, light-up Christmas sweaters.
• Dress your dogs up, too!
• Bring friends and family—everyone is welcome.

We usually have around 30 people walk with us, but this year we’re aiming for a Dee-O-Gee Care record! Send us, Josh and Jessica, out with a bang and give Alyson a warm welcome into the Dee-O-Gee family. ❤️

Dee-O-Gee Care will once again be walking in the Iola Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 6, and we want you to join us!

We’ll be gathering before the parade for some fun, photos, and a chance for everyone to meet Alyson Breitzman, the buyer of our business! Many of you already know her—she’s been an employee of ours for a couple years and is our amazing critter cab driver. While you may not have met her yet, she already knows and loves your pup(s)!

Come say hello, chat with us for a bit, and grab a bag of candy to toss before we line up. We’ll meet up in the afternoon on Saturday, December 6, at the east end of McKinley Street, near the High School in Iola. We’re still determining the time but are thinking between 2pm and 3pm. Dress yourself and your pup(s) in a favorite holiday outfit and feel free to add festive lights!

Bring your pups and bring your friends—we always need extra dog walkers! We’ll provide candy to toss, but don’t forget to bring p**p bags. 😁 (Please no full Santa suits—that’s saved for the big guy at the end of the parade.)

Hey everyone, I’m putting my ’73 K5 Blazer up for auction on Bring a Trailer, and I wanted to share it here.

This Blazer has been in my family since it was brand new. My grandpa bought it, and I’ve owned it since 2001. It’s been meticulously cared for its entire life and is in fantastic shape — you’d be hard-pressed to find another one this clean with this kind of history.

Right now the bidding is just over $19,000 with 4 days left, so there’s still time to jump in.

We wanted to share something a little different! 🎥

Jess and I put together a video looking back at our journey, from moving into our home in 2008 to the start of Dee-O-Gee Care. Our property sure has evolved over the last 17 years! This video was made mostly for us, but we thought it would be fun to share.

How many of you remember our bright yellow walls and our original (more mud than grass) backyard? Some of you might not know we built all of the outbuildings - our 5 acres was a blank slate surrounding a simple builder-grade house.

The video is about an hour long, so grab some popcorn and your pup for a trip down memory lane! We're sure you'll see some familiar furry faces too!

The evolution of Dee-O-Gee Care

🐾 Dee-O-Gee Care Update 🐾

We wanted to update our amazing clients and friends!

As we shared earlier, we have listed our business and home for sale — we now have a buyer! While the sale is still conditional based on financing, things are smoothly moving forward. We don’t have a closing date yet, but we’ll be sure to keep everyone updated.

In the meantime, daily operations will continue as normal — we’re still accepting reservations (including through the holidays, into the new year, and for spring break!), and all of our services (boarding, daycare, and critter cab) will remain the same. So feel free to continue making reservation requests through our website! A Personal Touch Pet Salon is still grooming in the barn, and at both businesses, you’ll still see the same friendly faces caring for your pups each day.

The new owner of Dee-O-Gee Care is planning to continue operations with the same love and attention we have always given, so the transition should be completely seamless.

We appreciate all of your continued support, trust, and love for our family. 🐶❤️ We’ll keep you updated as things progress!

📣 Big News from Dee-O-Gee Care 🐾
After 15 amazing years, we have made the difficult decision to sell Dee-O-Gee Care, our business and home, and begin a new adventure in the Caribbean. 🌴

This choice was made over many years—years filled with love and reflection. Caring for your dogs has been one of the greatest joys of our lives, and we’re so grateful for the trust and support this community has given us. We truly feel we’ve accomplished everything we set out to do here, and now it’s time for our next chapter.

Most importantly, we want to reassure everyone that our top priority is making sure the dogs—and all of you—continue to be well cared for. We are committed to finding the right new owner, someone who will share the same love, dedication, and passion that Dee-O-Gee Care was built on. 🐶❤️

We’ll keep you updated throughout this transition, and we’re confident that whoever steps in next will love and care for your dogs just as we always have.

We just picked up a stray dog on the corner of Highway 49 and Madson Road in Iola. He is an adult intact male hound mix with a docked tail and no collar. He’s a very friendly boy that is looking for his Mom & Dad!
