It is so gratifying (and fun!) to cook from the garden. Yesterday squash became casserole, zucchini became muffins and green tomatoes and okra were fried. For some reason the only “after” pic I took was of the tomatoes - maybe because they were the best ones I’d ever had!

Today the jalapenos will be pickled and made into jelly, and the cucumbers will be a salad. And tomorow we’ll have eggplant parmesan!

Fresh eggs (XL) - $4/dozen
Yellow squash - 3 for $2
Green peppers - 3 for $2
Ichiban (japanese) eggplant - 3 for $2
Jalapeños and sweet banana peppers - 6 for $1, can mix and match
Dill, basil, oregano and thyme - $1/bunch
Homemade blueberry jam and pumpkin butter - $6 / 8oz jar
Homemade jalapeno pepper jelly - $3 / 3oz jar
