Help CAN Give Second Chances — Snoopy’s Story

At **Coachella Animal Network (CAN)**, we believe every life matters. Recently, we were faced with a heart-wrenching decision about an 18-month-old dog named **Snoopy**. He had eaten something he shouldn’t have, and without urgent surgery, he wouldn’t survive.

The estimate for Snoopy’s lifesaving care was between **\$7,000 and \$12,000**—an overwhelming amount for many. But after seeing his young age, sweet spirit, and the fact that he had so much life left to live, we **chose to say YES**. Saying “no” simply wasn’t an option.

This was not a decision we take lightly. CAN does not and cannot cover veterinary bills for the public—we are a small, nonprofit animal welfare organization. But in rare, urgent cases like Snoopy’s, when an animal’s life is on the line and no other resources are available, we step in to prevent a needless loss of life.

Your donation today will help **rebuild our emergency fund** so we can continue to step in when there’s truly no one else to help—whether it’s a dog like Snoopy, abandoned litters, or strays in need of urgent medical care.

Snoopy is now on the road to recovery because we believed he deserved a chance. With your help, we can give that same chance to others.
