We unfortunately have come to a conclusion on the future of our club. And as of today's date, we have decided to close our club down indefinitely. This was not something that was taken lightly. As we have truly put our sweat and tears into this club. However, with us being a small club and struggling to fill our 3 flights for our test, we haven't been able to "grow". This year also took a huge tole on us financially with the hurricane coming through and shutting us down just days before our hunt test and then with not making enough entries to be able to host our SRS event, we also took another huge financial tole on us.

We have made some wonderful friends, seen some amazing dogs and just truly enjoyed watching all the handler teams grow over the years. Your friendship to us means more than you will know.

And we hope the very best to everyone in their future endeavors.

We are looking for a TEST dog for our upcoming SRS event.

Credentials:

1. Your dog MUST be the level of a MH, QAA or higher
2. Your dog MUST be capable of running a field trial & successfully showing the test
3. You will run the first 2 series. Which consists of a field trial & a hunt test. (After that if an amateur is dropped, they have the option to run test dog the rest of the event, but if no amateur is available, you will be needed for the 3rd series which is “judges discretion”.
4. You cannot be participating with another dog in our event (SRS has a rule where handler of test dog can’t be competing with other dogs, which makes the search hard because most with dogs capable are already running)

Dates: Friday March 7 - Sunday March 9

Start time: 8 am

Today is the last day to sign up for the local AKC hunt test in South Florida.

Remember, AKC is not like HRC . You must pre-register to run the event. There are no walk ups.

The other local retriever club has an upcoming training day

DECEMBER 14 2024 TRAINING DAY DETAILS!!!!

TCRC Policy: Pre-register to get the $5 Per Dog Rate. It’s $20 Per Dog if you show up without pre-registering first! You can still pay on the day of the event with Cash or Check if you choose, but you must still pre-register online to get the $5 per dog rate.

Our next TCRC training day will be at Yellow Dog Ranch on 11-2-24 at 8:30 AM.

Our training setup will be designed to be flexible. If you want to run AKC style or HRC style that is perfectly fine. You can choose when you come to the line. Please bring your own poppers and duck call if you want to run HRC style.

Attendees are expected to take turns working the wingers and/or helping with set-up and tear-down for the day. If you’ve never done it before, it’s OK, we will show you what to do. It’s easy and gives you a new vantage point from the field that will help you to be a better handler!

Please remember that, due to liability insurance reasons for the landowner, you must be up to date on your 2024/25 membership to train your dog at the club training day.
Membership is $35/year for single membership (1 vote), and $45/year for family membership (2 votes). You can get a membership online at www.TreasureCoastRetrieverClub.com/Membership

As always, bring your own drinks, water for your dogs, snacks, chairs, umbrellas, etc.
