Since a very early age I was always fascinated with the allure of a dog bred to perform work and fulfill a function. Quickly I knew that the German Shepherd Dog was my favorite breed of choice because of their awesome abilities, physical beauty, and high intelligence. I have de
dicated myself to the breed and have striven to do everything possible to continue to improve upon the quality of these magnificent animals. I work primarily with Czech and DDR bloodlines and my goal is to focus on quality, not quantity, preserving the German Shepherd Dog as a working dog...!! Since 1981 I have been involved in the German Shepherd Dog and was able to observe the GSD's remarkable talents as a police dog when I joined the police force in 1984. Shortly thereafter in 1985 I became a Police K9 handler and have worked with a GSD at my side as a police officer ever since. As a K9 handler for over 20 years I have personally effected over 1000 high risk searches and SWAT actions resulting in hundreds of apprehensions of dangerous felons ranging from wanted child molesters, rapists, drug dealers, armed robbery suspects, and murderers. When I share my knowledge I take great pride in the fact that this knowledge comes proven from a career of working the street and not from theory behind a desk. At the end of the day I am a beat cop in the trenches doing what I love. In 1996 I became the K9 trainer for the Marion County Sheriff's Department and oversee the training and maintenance for 16 K9 Units. In addition to our department K9 teams I also run Patrol Dog Schools and offer seminars where instruction is given to both new and existing K9 handlers from all over the country to help their team perform to the best of their abilities. I was able to observe the German Dog Sport of Schutzhund and immediately knew that I had to pursue it. In 1992 I became a member of Schutzhund USA and my love of this breed has fueled my determination for many years and given me invaluable experience and knowledge. Indianapolis Schutzhund und Polizei I have personally titled or overseen the training involved for titling many dogs. My personal successes include being the 2000 and 2002 National Police Dog Champion, a 2X IDM World Team Member, 2X Mid-Eastern Regional Champion, 2X North American Championship competitor, and a 5X National competitor. Currently I am the Chairman for the Schutzhund USA K9 Committee. z Diehlomov puppies are bred to perform in areas of Schutzhund, Police K9, Search and Rescue, Agility, Obedience, Tracking, and Arson Detection. In addition to specialized breeding we are also able to offer imported dogs out of some of the very best European working bloodlines.
