This right here is why I started Buy A Trained Puppy. And this is the value that I have trouble explaining to people. Look at the difference between a puppy I raised from the start and a puppy raised by people who are trying their darnedest with my guidance.
The truth is that puppy raising is HARD.
And if you're somewhere between recent college grad and retiree odds are that life is HECTIC. Which makes it incredibly difficult to make sure that your puppy isnt accidentally being reward by unwanted behaviors.
And if I'm being so for real - you (average pet owner) will likely never be as proficient at dog training as I am unless you're also doing the reps. Every skill takes repetition.
--> sure you can remodel your kitchen yourself with the help of YouTube and advice from your brother in law. But it won't be the same quality as if you hire someone who remodels kitchens for a living.
Don't misunderstand me - people often raise puppies without the help of a trainer and are successful.
But if you want it done WELL, with the least number of headaches and messes to clean up then you hire the professional
A Trained puppy is still work but the foundation is there. The rough part is over. And you can jump right in to the fun part of having a puppy.
