Our Smokey Blue Angelfish are growing fast! 🐟💙
It’s amazing seeing how much size and color they’ve put on in such a short time. Watching them develop from tiny fry into beautiful juveniles never gets old.

Can’t wait to see how they look fully grown!

Big milestone for us today at Phelps Aquatics Company!

Our Lemon Blue Eyed Bristlenose Plecos spawned for the very first time 🐟🥚
Always exciting to see a new pair settle in, claim a cave, and successfully breed. Nature never gets old.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on the cave and can’t wait to watch this batch develop.

More updates coming soon!

One of the most rewarding parts of fishkeeping right here 💙

Our Blue Smokey Angelfish babies have reached the free swimming stage, and seeing them all move together as a group is something special. From carefully laid eggs to this moment—it’s always worth the wait.

Mom and dad have been doing an amazing job protecting them every step of the way.

If you’ve ever bred angelfish, you know how exciting this stage is!

We decided to add something new to the fish room — a Weeping Moss wall 🌿🐟

Besides looking awesome, moss walls are great for breeding setups because they provide natural cover for fry and grazing surfaces for shrimp and microfauna.

We’re excited to watch this one grow in over the next few weeks!

Big move day for our Smokey Blue Angelfish babies!

These little free swimmers have officially graduated to a bigger grow-out tank so they have more room to explore and grow. Watching them go from tiny eggs, to wrigglers, to now confidently swimming around never gets old.

Every batch is a reminder of how amazing this process is.

If you look closely… there are a LOT of tiny angels in there. 👀

More updates coming as they grow!

One of the coolest parts of breeding angelfish is watching the entire process unfold.

First they carefully choose a surface and clean it.
Then the eggs appear.
A few days later they turn into tiny wrigglers…

And before you know it — a cloud of free-swimming babies.

It’s an amazing reminder of how incredible these fish really are.

Don’t blink… you might miss them. 👀

Our Super Red Apistogramma fry are officially out and exploring! Just a few days ago they were tiny wrigglers, and now they’re free swimming while mom and dad keep a close watch over the group. 🔴🐟

It’s always amazing seeing how something so small eventually grows into one of the most vibrant dwarf cichlids in the hobby.

From eggs ➝ wrigglers ➝ free swimmers… one of the best parts of breeding fish.

Nature inside a fish tank is unreal.
