“One of the hardest parts of running a kennel isn’t the long hours, the sleepless nights, or the endless cleaning — it’s making the decision to cut a dog from your program.
Sometimes it’s health, sometimes temperament, sometimes the simple fact that they aren’t producing what’s best for the vision you’ve worked so hard to build. And none of those reasons make it any easier.
Every dog that comes into my life is more than just a breeding prospect — they’re a soul I’ve invested my heart into. Letting go never feels like a “business move”… it feels like losing a piece of the dream you started with.
Breeding isn’t for everyone. If you’re in it for quick money or to chase trends, you’ll burn out fast — because the reality is, this life will break your heart if you truly care about your dogs.
This isn’t about stacking pedigrees or chasing color. It’s about building something that lasts… even when it means making painful decisions for the greater good of your program, and for the dogs themselves.
At the end of the day, my responsibility is to the breed, the families who trust me, and the animals who depend on me. And that’s a weight I’ll never take lightly.”
