We spent another weekend out in the fields planting more seedlings.

The rain was rough, but the trees loved the extra water.

Cheers to being able to be the people who grow Christmas trees for your future grandkids.

This business is a long game and we are here to play it.

Check out the reel below to see some of the fun we had out in newest patch we planted.

Our family has been growing Christmas trees for nearly 30 years now, but what we had never grown in the past were our own seedlings. We always purchased those from a fellow local tree farmer.

Back in 2021, my dad decided he wanted to learn that process too and was mentored by our friend Joe who had been growing them for us all these years at his own nursery.

These seedlings you see in the video have spent a total of 5 years being grown to be ready for the harvest we did yesterday. It was so special to get to be there with my dad for this moment.

Shortly after we harvested them all we worked to begin getting them planted in the rows out in the field.

This will be a task my dad does for the next few weeks and these seedlings will then spend 7-10 years growing until they become someone’s Christmas tree in the future.

Special thanks to our friend Joe for sharing his knowledge and mentoring us in learning how to grow our own seedlings.

Christmas tree farming sure is a labor of love. 🌲Proud of you dad.🫶🏻

Time to take down your tree? Do it the right way:

-Remove all lights, ornaments, tinsel, and hooks
-Check your township’s curbside pickup or drop-off site
So, what really happens when you recycle a real Christmas tree? It might seem obvious to repurpose into mulch, but there are so many other creative uses for real Christmas trees after the holidays! Real trees can be used as…

-Shoreline stabilizers to prevent beach erosion
-Snacks for zoo animals (elephants love them!)
-Living bird feeders/habitats

As we get closer to Christmas, we find that some of our customers enjoy picking up undecorated small wreaths from the farm to then make them into a centerpiece for their holiday tablescape.

This would be a really fun DIY craft for the upcoming weekend. Please reach out if you are interested in this.

We recommend LED candles to stay safe with the live pine or at least a hurricane glass around the candle.

Here are a few examples of centerpieces we made this week to give you some inspo.

All the makings for a holiday simmer pot. 🎄

I packaged up each with a little bit of the following:
Pine cuttings
Star Anise
Cinnamon sticks
Dried oranges
Dried cinnamon apples
Clove
Fresh cranberries

Topped them with a jingle bell and hand tied bow and they are ready to be handed out. 🎀

Made with love and intention. Hoping to brighten a few people’s day with this little holiday touch.

We have plenty of wreaths here at the farm to help decorate your loved one’s gravesite for the holidays.

In the event that you are looking for a more unique option, we have grave blankets, swags and crosses.

We use a drilled tree top for Mikes grave. It really stands out in the cemetery.

Sending love to all of you mourning the loss of a loved one this holiday season.

Please call for special orders for the cemetery- we can have it ready for you to pick up.
