Hi, my name is Nala! My birthday is August 7, 2025. I am spayed and have all my puppy shots. As you see from my pictures, Im pretty darn cute. I am now in a foster home with a nice lady that rescued me from a very bad situation. My foster mom says that I am sweet, loving and smart. She loves that i am not a barker. The problem is that she already has 4 small elderly dogs. Since I am a puppy with lots of energy and want to play, they do not want to play with me, so that stresses them out. My foster mom loves me so much and this makes her sad, but she needs to find me a new forever home. My foster mom says I am active, but I also enjoy hanging out on the couch with my toys and watching T.V. with my foster family. I also go to the door when I need to go potty, but sometimes my mom has to remind me to go potty, so I do what she tells me. When we go to bed, I snuggle between my foster mom and dad and I sleep all night. I love that! Please consider adopting me and giving me a safe and loving home. Bitsie, an 8-year-old mastiff mix, needed a new home
after her owner passed away. She had been living in
very poor conditions and arrived obese, with severe
foot infections, patchy hair, and other health issues.
Although our building was full, ABF helped by
arranging veterinary care, providing supplies, and
eventually placing her in temporary foster care. Over
several months, Bitsie underwent extensive testing and
treatment for a persistent bacterial and staph infection
in her feet, as well as a UTI and hyperthyroidism. After
multiple medication adjustments and specialist visits,
her condition gradually improved. As of October,
her infection has drastically decreased, her pain has
subsided, she is now thriving on a maintenance regimen.
She's transformed into a healthier, happier dog. Bitsie
continues her thyro tabs for her hyperthyroidism and
ketoconazole and Sporimune to maintain the care of
her feet.
Bitsie for the 1st time is like a puppy. She is enjoying
life. She has always given sloppy kisses, but even more
now that she feels good. Bitsie runs around the yard,
tossing her toys up in the air,chasing balls and rolling in
the grass. She also loves car rides and thinks shes a lap
dog. I know she has had a long journey to get where she
is today and may have to continue some medications,
but we are still going to hold out hope that someday
she can have her own family. She is very strong, active,
smart and wants to please you. Bitsie needs a family
that can train her and love her for the rest of her life.

Dear Santa Paws,

I hope this letter finds you in the midst of twinkling lights and festive cheer. As a humble rescue dog, I've been thinking a lot about Christmas wishes. In this season of magic and warmth, there's something special on my heart that I'd like to share with you.

All I dream of this Christmas is a loving forever home. A place where laughter echoes through the halls, and gentle hugs are as abundant as the snowflakes outside. I wish for companionship, Santa, the kind that lasts well beyond the holiday glow. A family to call my own, where the hearth is warm and the love is unconditional.

As you make your list and check it twice, I ask for your help in finding a home filled with understanding and kindness. Your magic has touched countless hearts, and I believe that, with your guidance, my Christmas wish for a forever family can come true.

Ginger is a very sweet kitty. Her little purr motor never stops. We think she is extra grateful to be one of the lucky ones to be rescued. She came to us skinny, cold, hungry and thirsty.
