Why didn't Sable the aggressive malinois go for me?
I'll tell you why.
After this meet.
The owner confided that i was the first person to approach her without her lunging and trying to bite.i know alot of people were disapointed because of the lack of drama in this video.
It comes down to phermones,which are similar to hormones.but occur outside the body.
Unlike hormones which work internally.
The owner/handler is putting out cortisal.
A stress hormone.because hes worried sable will do what she does.
Especially since i told him no muzzle.
So that alone triggers cortisol and stress in sable.
You can hear him repeat my command.i said 'come over and lets shake hands"
He wants to make sure thats what i said because he thinks its dangerous.
Then you hear me tell him to " relax".
Then he comes over,shields the dog away from me.again hes worried she's gonna go for me.
I tell him "you can turn and face me".
What does he do?
he repeats my command and i say yes.face me.
Him being so stressed worried me .because it makes sable think im a possible threat.
The only way i pulled this off.with Sable and quite a few other 'aggressive dogs.
And why other trainers wouldn't.
Is because,of me showing *and really feeling)no fear.something that comes from experience.
My energy and my vibe is so low key and confident..it throws sables mind into a loop.
She dosent smell the pheromones and cortisol that is a totally normal reaction to meeting a,aggressive dog..
One bit of fear from me,and we would have had some,Dog Daddy Drama.
Sable is a good girl.
You see me hand 3 beef liver treats to the handler who gives it to sable.
The 4th treat handler reaches out,but i delivered it straight to sable with out looking at her..
Then i was off to the races with her.
She loved working with me.it was a very special feeling for me.
Her aggression comes from fear.
Although the average person or trainer probably wouldn't understand this.
Her handler,although experienced with prior malinois ownership and bite work.
Needs training as much or more than sable
Having a reactive and or aggressive dog can be extremely stressful.
So the handling skills we teach are so important.

Listen to the handler as i talk to him very calmly.
Another thing that sable picks up.
The gentle communication vibe.
