VOLUNTEERS NEEDED 🐾❤️

Our foster family is growing, which means so is the need for help behind the scenes! We’re urgently looking for organized, detail-oriented dog lovers to assist with records and scheduling.

This is a fully remote volunteer opportunity, and we’re looking for 3-5 hours per week of work for the team. It involves using Google Drive, Discord, and phone, perfect for anyone who wants to make a difference from home!

Puppies get the spotlight, but what about the dogs who’ve already perfected the art of love?

Meet Makia, Blue, and Nikki — three incredible adult cattle dogs who are being overlooked while our adoptable puppies receive dozens of applications. They don’t need potty training, they won’t chew your shoes, and they’ve already learned the meaning of loyalty.

🐾 Makia – an 11-year-old gentle soul who’s all about quiet companionship, soft beds, and short strolls in the grass.
🐾 Blue – a sensitive, brilliant boy who just needs a patient home and will give his whole heart in return.
🐾 Nikki – a smart, wiggly-tailed velcro pup who will follow you anywhere and love you forever.

They’ve waited long enough.
Let’s show the world that grown-up dogs are just as perfect — maybe even more so. 💕

Our Story

Pacific Northwest Cattle Dog Rescue is a non-profit organization based in Skagit County, Washington. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate & rehome cattle dogs and heelers from animal control groups, shelters and owner surrenders.

As a foster-based rescue organization, we rely on the generosity and dedication of our volunteer network. All of our dogs live in foster homes where they are part of the family until they find their forever home.

We offer courtesy listings across our social media to owners who wish to keep their dog during the rehoming process. Submit a courtesy listing request here. Owners interested in surrendering a heeler to PNWCDR can submit a questionnaire.

We seek to rehome cattle dogs coming out of states with a higher density of the breed, such as Texas and California. We are building partnerships with shelters, animals control groups and transporters across the west.
