Welcome to our Team Spotlight!

We’re excited to start introducing you to the amazing people behind the care your pets receive! Over the coming months, we’ll be highlighting members of our team so you can get to know them a little better!

🌟 Team Spotlight: Emily V, CSR 🌟

Since joining GFVC over six years ago, Emily has been an incredible part of our team! Originally starting as an assistant, she has truly found her stride as one of our amazing Client Service Representatives.

Emily’s calm, even-keeled personality keeps everything running smoothly at the front desk—no matter how busy things get. She rarely gets flustered and is always a steady, reliable presence for both our team and our clients.

Her consistency, positivity, and dedication do not go unnoticed. The entire GFVC family—and all of our wonderful clients—are so grateful for everything she does each and every day.

💙 Thank you for all that you do, Emily! We’re so lucky to have you! 💙

💊 We are switching it up again!

With joining Leatherstocking Veterinary Group, we are changing our online pharmacy partner back to Covetrus (formerly, some of you may remember, Vets First Choice).

www.leatherstockingvet.covetruspharmacy.com

Any patients with autoship medications with BlueRabbit should be receiving an email within the next few weeks from Covetrus to convert those prescriptions over.

Our account with BlueRabbit will close on 3/31/26.

We apologize for any inconvenience!

☠️🐾 It’s National Poison Prevention Week! 🐾☠️

Many everyday household items can be dangerous for our pets. Curious noses and hungry pups (and kitties!) can easily get into things that may cause serious illness.

Some of the most common pet toxins include:
🍫 Chocolate
🍇 Grapes & raisins
🍬 Xylitol (found in gum, candy, and some peanut butter)
💊 Human medications like ibuprofen or acetaminophen
🌸 Certain plants like lilies (very toxic to cats)
🧴 Household cleaners and chemicals

⚠️ Signs of possible poisoning may include:
Vomiting • Drooling • Tremors • Lethargy • Seizures

If you think your pet may have ingested something toxic, contact the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center at 888-426-4435 for immediate guidance.

Prevention is the best protection—keep medications, chemicals, foods, and plants safely out of reach.
