ARF Animal Rescue Friends of Idyllwild CA

ARF Animal Rescue Friends of Idyllwild CA ARF is a non-profit 501(c)3 volunteer rescue for lost, abandoned, or unwanted pets. We are open on weekends and by appointment M through F.

We also offer vaccination clinics and nail trim clinics monthly. Welcome to ARF, the little rescue with the big heart. We are located in the mountain village of Idyllwild, CA where we have been serving the community since 1994. An all-volunteer, grassroots, non-profit organization, ARF’s mission is to rescue animals that have been abandoned, lost, or whose owners are no longer able to care for the

m. We provide foster care until forever homes are located. All our animals are spay/neutered, receive necessary shots and other veterinary care as needed. Each year, relying only on the generosity of donors and small grants, ARF helps an increasing number of dogs and cats, turning sad stories into happy tails. ARF has always worked to educate our population about the importance of responsible pet ownership, including the need for spay/neuter and heartworm disease prevention. WE ARE OPEN ON THE WEEKENDS but we also will meet individuals M-F by appointment. Please call and leave a message.

NO MORE ROOM AT THE INN! ARF is filled to the brim with cats and kittens. We'd love to care for them all, but there is just no room. Two messages to take from this: 1) Please consider opening your home and family to a delightful, loving adult cat or kitten, and 2) SPAY/NEUTER YOUR CAT!! If you need help affording the procedure, PLEASE CONTACT US, and we will help!! 951-659-1122

ASSISTED ADOPTION: Here is your chance to become a true angel! Sadly, Todd must be re-homed. Todd is an 11-year old loving boy who just wants to be wanted. He is housetrained, great with other dogs (especially older ones), and has received a "green light" from his veterinarian. He does, however, have glaucoma in one eye for which he receives a drop of stabilizing medication each day. Easy peasy!
Todd is neutered and current on vaccinations. He will have a dental this December 27. He is the perfect, loyal companion for a loving person or family. Please reach out to Ryan at 909-557-4793.

Assisted adoption disclaimer: ARF shares info and photos of pets needing new homes. ARF does not make any guarantees regarding these pets. ARF is doing this strictly as a service. The pets shared through “Assisted Adoptions” are NOT ARF pets. Any interested parties are advised to request veterinary records, microchip information when applicable, and make certain the pet will do well with any pets existing in the family. ARF also suggests that potential adopters are aware of COUNTY LAWS/ORDINANCES relating to pet requirements (spay/neuter, microchipping, vaccinations, registration, etc). ARF knows no other information about this pet than what is posted. PLEASE DIRECT ANY QUESTIONS TO THE CONTACT LISTED.
