🚫 CLOSED FOR INTAKES 🚫
Effective immediately, Elevated K9 Working Dog Rescue will be closed for new intakes through August and September, or until further notice.
The last several months have taken everything I have. Between the emotional weight of rescue and trying to be everything to everyone, I’ve realized I need to step back, recharge, and put my family and personal dogs first for a while.
My phone rings from early mornings to late nights. Weekdays, weekends, holidays…it doesn’t really stop. Rescue has slowly become something that’s EXPECTED to be available 24/7, and the reality is, that’s just not sustainable. I need to create some boundaries before I have nothing left to give.
My focus now is on the dogs already here. They deserve continued training, quality time, and finding the right homes, not me spreading myself even thinner.
That said, closing intakes doesn’t mean the bills stop. Every dog here still needs food, vet care, training, fuel, equipment, and a roof over their head. Elevated K9 Working Dog Rescue is 100% privately funded. There are no government grants, no city funding, and no guaranteed income. This rescue exists because people choose to support it.
If you’d like to help us continue giving these dogs the life they deserve, donations, dog food, sponsorships, and shares of our available dogs are always appreciated.
For now, you’ll probably see a lot more training updates. That’s exactly where my energy needs to be!
Thank you for understanding and your continued support!
