Lola doesn't like the 30 degree drop in temperature!

Lola doesn't seem to mind her new NO TEETH status. She had a little bit of a rough night, but pain meds this morning seemed to smooth things out. Her sinuses are still congested from the horrible infected teeth, but antibiotics will take care of that difficulty soon.

Lola got her dental today. Her teeth were so rotten they literally fell out of her mouth. She had a fracture in her jaw also 😥 She is resting and will be on quite a concoction of meds for a couple of weeks. This little dog was not treated well or cared for, it seems. Yet she's happy and alert and full of resilience!! Dental and meds came up just short of $400. Please drop a tax deductible donation that will 100% go to her veterinary care!

Update on the little foster, whom we have named LOLA. She sustained some injuries to her eyes in her previous life and has scar tissue which has caused glaucoma. We have 5 meds that the vet is using to attempt to reduce the pressure in her eyeballs, which is double what it should be. She also needs a dental and has a large hernia which needs repair. Today's vet visit was $550. Her dental is estimated at $300 but may be more. IF the eye meds don't work (we'll know in 3 weeks), she will need both eyes removed so they don't rupture. It's been quite awhile since we rescued a dog, but we have a little old chihuahua that we picked up from Wendell Animal Shelter. Tiny little girl who goes to the vet on monday for checkup.
