Meet Hercules! This Great Pyrenees was recently brought into our care after the previous owner was no longer able to care for him. Hercules has a strong personality that is often misunderstood. He enjoys the company of other larger animals and will take a treat from time to time. He will bond very closely with one or two individuals, but for the most part he does NOT always enjoy the company of people.

Because of this, Hercules will need an owner who is familiar with the Pyrenees breed and can provide him with the structure and space that he needs to thrive. Hercules would most likely do great as a farm dog or live stock gradian, if introduced properly. He has a very protective nature around the things he is closest to, and will defend them at all costs.

Some of you may remember Prince (formerly known as "Jet"), who recently found his furr-ever home back in February. Just look at him now! His owners say that he has adjusted well to home life, and loves paying outside, and with his toys. We wish that we were having as much fun as Prince is! And those sunglasses are too much! Gordo is a big-hearted pup with an even bigger personality, currently searching for his forever home. While he’s not totally fluent in English just yet, he proudly shows off his Spanish skills—he knows “Beso” (kiss), “Siéntate” (sit), and “Mano” (paw), and he’s always happy to demonstrate (especially if treats are involved!).

Gordo absolutely loves the snow and will light up any winter day with his playful energy. He’s wonderful with kids, though he sometimes forgets just how big he is, so he’d do best in a home with older children or someone ready to help him learn a few gentle boundaries.

This sweet boy is eager to please, full of love, and just needs the right person or family to guide him and give him the structure he deserves. With a little patience and a lot of love, Gordo will make an incredibly loyal and joyful companion.
