*The SHIH TZU*
•Shih Tzu translates to "little lion”.
•Breed originated in Tibet!
•Every Shih Tzu alive today can be traced to one of 14 dogs (seven males and seven females) used to rebuild the breed during World War II.
• Considered an "ancient" breed, being that they are considered to be a breed most genetically related to wolves!

Our Story

Kirsten Butcher & Hope Easley. A Cut Above, the Falls. We strive for the wellness and love of all things dog. Kirsten is a Mastery Certified Pet Stylist of 14 years and continues to excel in her certification programs as well as AKC Showmanship Standards. She studied under a AKC shower/breeder for 6 years and obtained certifications in Animal Psychology, Nutrition as well as Animal Behavior.

Hope has been Kirsten’s understudy for 4 years now; grooming for 5 years and is following in line with her Certified Salon Professional certifications and then will go onto her Mastery Certifications as well.

We aim to treat all the dogs of Idaho Falls as if they were our own. We make a point to have a very clean and calm environment for all of our fur covered friends and offer a small retail section for your convenience. We do offer a couple of different discount programs if you would like to inquire about them you can reach of via call or text at 208-403-4230.
