Everton Blair Jr. raises an incredibly valid point: how is it that the U.S. can afford a billion-dollar-per-day war in Iran, but can't seem to find the funds for Medicare for All? The way the money seems to magically appear for military spending, but always "runs out" when it comes to healthcare, is a glaring contradiction.
Blair’s tweet cuts to the heart of the issue. While we pour endless resources into wars, the basic needs of everyday people go unmet. Hospitals and healthcare systems remain underfunded, but there’s always a fresh budget for military action. It’s the kind of irony that’s hard to ignore, and the type of financial prioritization that needs to change.
It’s time to question where the money is really going, and who it’s really benefiting. The reality is that we do have the resources—it's just a matter of how those resources are being allocated. 💰💔
