🌧️🎆 Fourth of July Recap 🎆🌧️

This 4th of July was surprisingly calm — thanks to the torrential rain that kept the fireworks to a minimum. While it wasn’t the big boomy night we expected, we still had some festive fun here with all the pups! 🐶💥

To help distract everyone during the usual firework peak, I made frozen peanut butter-filled apples 🍏🥜 as a special treat. Even though we didn’t end up needing the distraction, they still enjoyed their surprise snack!

Most of the dogs loved them, a few just wanted the peanut butter, and some politely declined with judgmental side-eyes 😂

🚨 Schedule Update – August Time Off 🚨

Hi everyone! Just a friendly reminder that I will be out of town from August 8th to August 25th and unavailable for pet sitting during that time. This will be my longest time away since starting my business, and I truly appreciate your understanding and support.

This trip is a very special one—my family is taking me on a cruise to celebrate my 30th birthday, followed by a few extra days in Florida. As excited as I am, I’ll definitely be missing your fur babies and my own pets too!

💔 In Loving Memory of Lucy 💔

It is with a heavy heart that I share the heartbreaking news that one of our beloved clients, Lucy, has tragically and unexpectedly passed away. Her mom, Deborah Simms, has been a loyal and wonderful part of our dog care family since late 2023, entrusting me with the care of her two sweet pups, Blu and Lucy.

Lucy was a gentle, loving soul. She was friends with many of the puppies I watch. An old lady in the best way — full of warmth, wisdom, and snuggles. She loved sunbathing, lounging on the couch, and quietly following her humans in hopes of a kitchen treat. She never caused a fuss. She just was — peacefully and sweetly present in every moment. She adored the world around her, and it adored her right back.

What makes this loss even more difficult is that Lucy and Blu were scheduled to board with me the very next day. It was shocking and deeply saddening to receive the news. Blu is currently with me, and he’s grieving — his confusion and sorrow are palpable. They were lifelong companions, never having been apart, and his heart is aching without her.

Deborah is an incredibly kind and loving person. Blu and Lucy are not just pets to her — they are her family, her children, and her entire world. As she navigates this unimaginable pain while away from home, I ask all of you — fellow animal lovers and compassionate hearts — to rally around her.

Please flood this post with your love, support, kind words, and prayers. Let her know she’s not alone in this. Let her feel the strength of our community during this time of deep loss.

Rest in peace, sweet Lucy. You were so very loved, and you always will be. 🐾🕊️

It’s been a busy few weeks full of wagging tails, zoomies, and lots of love from my amazing clients! I haven’t had a chance to post, but that just means I’ve been spending extra time giving your fur babies the attention they deserve. 💕

Your Pets Come First – No Matter the Weather

The thunder is loud, the wind is howling, and the rain is coming down in sheets. Flood warnings, hail threats—you name it, we’ve got it tonight.

And I’m currently on my way to check on a client’s pets.

Why? Because when you trust me with your animals, I take that responsibility seriously. Whether it’s sunny and 75 or storming like this, I show up—because your pets deserve nothing less.

I grew up in Maine, where wild weather was just part of life. I don’t take unnecessary risks, but I do take your trust to heart. Safety is always my top priority—for myself and your animals.

Hot Dog Days & Melting Cats

It’s officially too hot to function and the pets are adapting in the most dramatic ways possible.

The corgis? Fully committed to their beach model era – striking sploots like they’re posing for Corgi Illustrated.
The cat? Has melted into a puddle of fluff on the table and is questioning every life choice that led to this heat.

Stay cool out there, friends – and remember, dramatic lounging is a valid way to cope with summer.
