We appreciate our clients, but we need to address a couple of very important issues.
Late cancellations and no shows:
This is a small business and grooming appointments are how we pay ourselves, our assistant and related expenses. When clients cancel at the last minute or just don’t show up, that is revenue for the day that we can’t recover. Here’s an example: The day before appointments, we reached out to unconfirmed clients. One client cancelled at the last minute, the morning of their appointment. Another client was confirmed and didn’t show up. Another just didn’t respond. Unfortunately, it was too late to add anyone from the waitlist. That was about $350 in revenue lost. Please be sure to cancel a couple of days before your scheduled appointment, so we can add someone else in that spot.
Dropping off & picking up late:
Our hours are Tuesday - Saturday, 8 - 5. Your appointment time is your drop off time. Appointments are staggered so our clients can drop off & be on their way. If you are late, you overlap someone else’s drop off time. We can always adjust your appointment time a day or two before, if needed. Plus, late drop offs can extend our work day significantly.
When we message you that your dog is ready for pickup, we expect you to head this way in a timely manner. If you have other things to do, please let us know when you drop off in the morning. We usually work ten hours a day and try to clean up and leave by 6.
Everyone that knows us knows we give a lot of grace to our clients on repeat schedules. Emergencies and unexpected situations happen. There are times we need grace also. At times it feels like our time is not respected. Because of this, we will be implementing a couple of new policies addressing late cancellations, drop offs and pickups, and no shows.
Waiting with your dog:
We do not allow pet parents inside the shop as a general rule. We aren’t hiding anything, but when people come in and out, it can create chaos. When we are working with your dog, they will stop listening to us and want you to get them. Just like children being dropped off at school, your fur babies are fine as soon as you drive away. If you bring your dog to have their nails clipped, we ask that you wait in your car. We’ll come get them & bring them back ASAP.
The majority of our clients know our rules and follow them. They respect our time and they appreciate what we do for their dogs. We love our clients and adore their dogs. Our days are spent laughing, snuggling & playing with your babies, as well as making them look their best. All we ask is that you respect our time and our rules.
