Just a quick shout out to Henny Penny Pet Corner for their absolutely amazing service! We had a boarding dog whose owner had their flight delayed several times and the pups ran out of food. They needed a special diet with no grain and I was not in town to take care of it. They answered all my questions and even delivered the food straight to our door! Thanks so much!

The hardest part of this job will forever be the goodbyes. We’ve lost so many this year and each one takes a little piece of my heart with them.

Bailey, Bailey, Bailey… you were one of my very first dogs since being here. Eight years I’ve known and loved you. My kids have loved you. My dogs, fosters, friends, anyone who’s ever been my home.

You were the goodest of girls and my heart is absolutely broken. I hope there was a fresh, warm pile of clean laundry waiting for you on the other side!

I try not to post these Everytime because my entire feed would just be sad and depressing. But man… some of them just hit.

Baylee, Nugget, Sage, Max, Opie, Winston, just in the last few months. We’ve lost so many good babies. It’s the worst part by far. Watching them age, watching them say goodbye.

‼️‼️FELIX IS SAFE!!!!!! He made his way to his auntie’s house!!

Hi all!!
We are actively working with the family to get Felix home. It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that you do not go out actively looking for him. He is scared and more than likely in survival mode now. If you happen to see him, please call the number immediately so we can keep track of his sightings. DO NOT SHARE HIS SIGHTING LOCATIONS ON FACEBOOK!! We need this little guy to settle into one area. Reminder: DO NOT try to catch him or call out to him!

Last week sweet Clyde got hit by a car and had to be put to sleep after finding he ruptured his lung.

This is not something his family was financially prepared for. I am hoping my community can rally together and help them pay for this very large expense.

The total cost was$546.02 with taxes.

If anyone can help so they don’t have to stress about paying this after losing their precious boy.

There’s a bittersweet post I never thought I’d be writing…

Happy tails will NOT be closing in the near future, I will
Let everyone know as soon as I do so that no one will be left hanging.

After so many memories, milestones, and moments that shaped our lives, I’ve decided to sell my home here in Huron. This place has been more than just a house, it’s been a foundation for my family, my growth, and the building of something I’m incredibly proud of. I was able to support my 6 kids in a very happy life here.

Huron has given me community, support, and so many beautiful connections. It’s where Happy Tails Groom & Board came to life and grew into what it is today. Leaving here won’t be easy, there’s a lot of love in these walls.

But with change comes opportunity, and I’m ready for the next chapter.

What would mean the most to me is finding the right person to step into this space… not just to own the home, but to continue the heart behind the business. Someone who sees the potential, the purpose, and the impact it can have in this community.

And for the right person, I’m more than willing to help you step into it confidently. I will train you, share what I’ve built, and support you in continuing something really special.

If you (or someone you know) has ever dreamed of owning a home and running a thriving dog grooming and boarding business, this could be an incredible opportunity.
