JVV Farms A small hobby farm in Huron. We have a couple dogs, 6 goats, over 30 chickens, 2 bunnies and too many cats.

We have several different breeds of chickens and our goats are Nigerian Dwarfs which is a mini dairy breed.

A Guinea egg compared to a chicken egg. They are smaller and tear drop shaped... and you will probably have to hunt around to find them because they don't typically lay in nest boxes.

They taste the same as a regular chicken egg except they have a larger yolk for their size!

Did you know: the hen that *hatches* the baby chick is usually not the one who laid the egg? A broody hen (that means a hen that wants to be a mom) will sit on a clutch of eggs, regardless of which chicken(s) laid them.

Chickens are the original surrogate moms! 🙂
