Hurley, New Mexico Animal Shelter

Hurley, New Mexico Animal Shelter The Hurley Animal Shelter is a small rural municipal shelter in SW New Mexico. Our shelter is located at the south end of Hurley.

Our number one priority is caring for the animals we pick up and work on getting them ready for their forever homes. If you are interested in seeing one of our dogs up for adoption, please call (575) 537-3220 and ask for the animal control officer. Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who is or has contributed to our new shelter in any way. Without your caring actions, this new shelter wouldn't have b

een possible and animals would have been relegated to the 60- or 70-year old shelter we had before. We want to thank the Hurley Pride Committee (HPC), SaVanne Kilgore, President. The HPC acted as the shelter's fiscal agent (a very tough job) and everyone above went to bat for the new shelter during planning and construction to keep progress moving forward till it was, for the most part, completed. The new animal shelter could not have become a reality without their devotion and follow-through, Thank you.

Lana is still looking for her forever home!!
BEAUTIFUL female, spayed, and up-to-date with vaccines.
She is the very sweetest girl and does very well inside, she is potty trained, good with all dogs (large and small) and good with kids. Great mild temper, but can be (vocally) sassy in the sweetest way! Just wants love and cuddles! Not so great with cats so would be better in a home with no cats.
Her adoption fee is only $50.00
Contact Hurley Police Department if interested in adding this pretty girl to your family!

Hello! This is Miss Potato. She is about 4 months old and very sweet. She is up for ADOPTION! Her name is Potato because she was the smallest of her litter and we thought she was going to be a munchin kitty. She is still rather small but less potato looking now lol!
Please contact Hurley Police Department for more adoption information! (575)537-3220.

Good afternoon everyone!
Just wanted to give you a sneak peak of our puppies! We currently have 12 puppies at the shelter (not including their mamas).
[[PLEASE SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR ANIMALS!!!!]]
These four BOYS will be available August 3, 2020!
Baxter (brown w/ white on face), Ollie (brown no white on face), Milo (black w/ white on whole nose), and Toby (black with white on half his nose) (They are ALL MALES)
They will be 12 weeks August 3, 2020. They will receive their rabies vaccinations prior to adoption. We are working on potty training, they are already eating solid food. Their mama is an Alaskan Husky, also here at the shelter, and their dad I'm not sure of but I would say shepherd mix.
