Excuse me i gotta get the outside icky off.
I figured out how to use the dog door and got stuck.
Thankfully big sister Remi showed mom and dad my hidey spot. Also Thankfully dad didn't have to go anywhere today as I was hiding in the underneath part of his truck. I was blending it quite well. Mom says she's gonna find a tracker to put on me.
Hopefully I learned my lesson and don't do that again.

Hi my name is Tex. I like making mom look like an idiot to the neighbors as she stands outside in her nightshirt holding the leash screaming for me. Im just enjoying my best life playing with the neighbors dog.
Mom why can't I be free all the time out of the fence?
Because we live next to a highway and I dont want your stupid self getting run over.
He is currently still outside running around like he ain't got no sense.

Having a lazy day with mom while she waits for her stuff to finish or charge. She forgot to plug it in last night so the battery almost died on the pump.

📊 Let’s talk numbers. (Just dogs for now — we’ve mostly been able to stay on top of cats.)

In January, we took in 17 dogs.
We adopted out 12.

During that same month, we received requests to take in:
🐾 71 dogs from Madison County
🐾 14 more from outside Madison County

And that’s not even counting the hundreds on our list still waiting from last year.

Even if we only consider the requests from January, our waitlist is already 4–5 months long.

Here’s the reality:
We cannot help 70+ dogs every month if we can only find homes for 12.
We could have 100 kennels and still be completely full in just a few weeks.

💔 This is why we are constantly begging for help — because the need is bigger than the resources we have.
