The clinic is looking for volunteer dog walkers on surgery days, mostly Tuesdays and Fridays, roughly 1 to 2pm. Volunteers must be 18+ and have an up to date tetanus vaccination and sign a hold harmless agreement. Pls text 410-474-1498 to volunteer.

Meet Ryle – The Gentle Soul Looking for His Second Chance!

Do you believe in second chances? We do, and Ryle is proof that he deserved one!

Ryle is a handsome, sweet, and gentle 2-year, 1-month-old terrier mix, weighing 60 pounds. This lovable boy found himself on the euthanasia list—not because of anything he did, but simply because he needed another shot at life. And we knew he deserved it.

Since arriving with us, Ryle has not disappointed. He has shown himself to be friendly, playful, and incredibly gentle, always expressing his gratitude for being saved with tail wags and affectionate moments. He has done well in playgroups with other dogs and enjoys both fun and relaxation.

❄️Cold Weather Safety for Pets & Livestock ❄️

In cold weather, it's crucial to keep both pets and livestock safe from the harsh winter chill. Here are some important tips to follow:

🐾 For Pets:
- Limit outdoor exposure: Keep your pets inside whenever possible. If they need to go outside, limit their time and make sure they’re bundled up.
- Paw protection: Snow, ice and salt can harm their paws. Wipe them off after walks and consider using pet-safe paw balms or boots.
- Stay alert: Shivering, whining and reluctance to walk are signs that your pet is too cold.

🐄 For Livestock:
- Shelter and bedding: Provide adequate shelter from the wind and cold, with extra bedding like straw to keep them warm and dry.
- Water supply: Ensure their water doesn’t freeze. Use heated water buckets to prevent dehydration.
- Check regularly: Monitor for signs of distress, such as shivering, loss of appetite or difficulty moving.
