Saturday at the 3 County Fair:

Vera had a busy day showing in the Brown Swiss Show and youth working steers competition.
Her homebred and raised Angel was second in the Brown Swiss winter calf class and dam Aurora was second in the 3 yr old Brown Swiss cow class.
Bert & Ernie were amazing in the working steers:
2nd Fitting and Showmanship
3rd trained steers class and cart class
1st in the log course!
Vera was also awarded youth teamster of the day for the third year in a row!

The girls left us a present yesterday. The buggiest chicken egg I have ever seen!!
The smaller one is considered a jumbo weighing in @ 2.84 oz while the larger one is over an oz bigger. And yes it did come from a chicken.

HUGE picnic shoulder off a bore that was hanging @ 361 lbs. 15 hour cook and it FELL APART!!! Flavor is amazing and could not be more tender!!! These pigs are the best!!!

Who doesn’t love some good pulled pork?(If you don’t you’re probably just using the wrong pork) Thease shoulder roasts are PERFECT!! Super marbled and full of flavor. Cook thease in the crock pot, on the smoker(my favorite), or just in the oven to an IT of about 203 and they will just fall apart and melt in your mouth.
