Everyday we meet new animals and people. The Shelter environment is full of love, and the staff works hard to care for and love the animals. Volunteers who have completed a waiver and had an orientation are

welcome to walk dogs from 8 -3:30 daily. The public is invited to meet animals between 12-3:30 Mon- Saturday. When you have questions please message, call, or stop by the shelter. The animals would love to meet you. This page will be updated daily, and we will try to respond as quickly as possible.

Earlier this month, animal control officers were responding to a call regarding a dog who had been hit by a car. The dog was in very bad shape and needed veterinary care immediately. Officer Morris of the Wayne Co. Sheriff's Dept. was at the scene and went above and beyond by transporting the injured dog to the Tri-State Animal ER so the dog could be seen as soon as possible. We're thankful for Officer Morris' act of kindness which bought Lottie time. This sweet girl is recovering in the home of a foster from multiple breaks and soon, she'll be ready to get on with her life in a new home.
